fucking stupid but before watching The Terror I'd seen like 1 edit and I convinced myself it's a show about that time Napoleon invaded Russia and his crew couldn't handle the weather. I saw snow, some premodern uniforms that I can't differentiate, I saw Tobias Menzies's high cheekbones and silky hair and that funny long captain hat and I just nodded and wiggled my finger "that's him"

Hello thank you so much!!! that's very kind sorry for embarrassingly late response. I was burnt out at that time I couldn't collect thoughts about my art and later I just procrastinated
I've always liked Jamie Hewlett's and Robert Valley's art and if I ever get a comment comparing my art to someone elses it's either of the two so ig the influence is visible (although it is a bit obvious, they were/are idols of most young cartoon artists) the sketch on the left is probably my favourite of Valley's
Heavy mention of Tazaryoot. has such a cool approach to silhouettes and the lines round up and sharpen in very satisfying way. They're only on tumblr now but I got to follow their instagram in the past which had more artworks posted and I still think about some of them
There's also instagram user Pangchiucowboy. I adore how they render stuff also just the random more abstract elements of their art are very freeing to see
Others could be Tanjeronie (her older works where she shades with black airbrush are awesome), Tomspru (I often think about it when I need to simplify features for a chibi or draw something round and silly.., but just a great inspo for shapes in general)
One time when looking at Organdenial's art I kinda took another step in terms of coloring, I realised I really like it when there's a color that pops out or appears almost neon and in order to do that I just need to mute the other colors.
A painting I sometimes think about is Judas by Edward Okuń which has those great colors (not a color scheme Organdenial uses haha but I mean Judas and the city are practically glowing! how cool is that. (As a kid I really liked Impression, Sunrise too so I guess there's a pattern)

And I like European medieval art - the way the faces are drawn and how shapes make up the figures; like the shoulders being oval or hands just poking out from the fabric with all fingers visible side by side. And I especially like the eyes. These would probably be trademarks of coptic and egyptian art too and whatnot. At the end of the day I just really love that 2-dimentional approach... There's manga called "Kami no Kodomo" which I feel has a bit of that. I read it before I took any care in historical art and the artstyle really struck me. (If you're interested in reading it check the content warnings before)
Something else I think I can mention here is clothes. I just like how they can add to a silhouette eg. Ashley Wood painting I displayed earlier. I often draw Jimmy from Quadrophenia just for own amusement because he's wearing that big parka. or the parka is wearing him?
It is bit of a hard question for me. Like, maybe an artist is a result of anything they encounter. But half the time the stuff I like doesn't show up in my art (even if I wish it did) so to answer I kinda need to make this self analysis and label my interests. Anyway sorry for late response again, thank you for the ask and I hope this is maybe the type of answer you looked for
