Reasons why computer problems seem to mysteriously vanish as soon as a technician shows up:

You were spacing out and skipping a step somewhere without realising it, and you can’t reproduce it when you try to demonstrate it because now you’re paying attention to what you’re doing

It’s an intermittent electrical connection fault that’s being aggravated by movement/vibrations in your desk; you need to check your cables

The act of explaining the problem to someone caused you to figure out what you were doing wrong

The real cause of the problem was somewhere upstream of your terminal device – for example, at the network service provider – and it got fixed at the source while you were waiting

Your computer is in a location with poor airflow and is overheating; waiting for the technician to arrive gave it a chance to cool off

Despite all appearances to the contrary, modern computers actually have very good fault recovery, and most minor problems will sort themselves out on their own if you give it a minute

I keep wondering about the casting of child actors for Mike, Will and Jonathan, and how that suggests some more extensive flashbacks (like the ones we had with El in season four). We pretty much assume they'll be flashbacks from Will's perspective, of his relationships with the people he loves, probably when he's being psychically attacked by Vecna, perhaps.

But I also think that for Byler to work for the general public, we need to get inside Mike's head, to learn his deepest thoughts and desires. So I assume (and truly hope) we'll get some Mike flashbacks too, especially if he's attacked by Vecna. And I absolutely need flashbacks to the time El and Will were in California because I'm 99.9% sure it was during that time that Mike realized his feelings for Will. And if they're going to make Byler happen (and they will, trust me), they'll need to show us HOW IT HAPPENED from Mike's perspective.

I've already talked here about how I think (and hope) these flashbacks happen so that Mike and the audience can understand what's really going on there. I think byler won't work if we don't know Mike Wheeler's innermost thoughts and innermost thoughts, and the writers know that, so expect it, guys, because it's going to happen, and it'll be great to finally know exactly what's going on in that little head, lol.
