I like your post with the two albums; however, I would disagree with the example from blink. I'd say on the left would be Cheshire Cat and the right would be Dude Ranch since Dude Ranch was what really punk them on the map as a band.

Are you mad!? It’s true that Dude Ranch established them as a notable band. However, it was Enema of The State that exploded them into the mainstream.
