So I can't access this tumblr account anymore lmao. For good. I've made a new one so follow me there: punkbrocreloaded.tumblr.com
Tfw you end up being stuck inside the airport for 11 hours when that's not what you'd planned. Grrr. (at London Heathrow (LHR))
Mood
Women should be able to wear what they want without getting harassment. Just like u can wear niqaab as your right. I can wear what I want. So what's the problem. Men are not kids that they should be tempted by it.
Sis. We're on the same page don't worry
I'm screaming. I posted an essay on her status and she deleted her status altogether......lmao...sis wyd.
I just opened up my Facebook to take a break from studying and came across a status posted by someone on my friend list where she doesn’t understand why women complain about or wonder why they’re getting harassed by men when they’re “half naked” and in “skin tight clothes” and that it’s the same as “tempting a kid with his favorite toy/candy and then blaming him for trying to eat it”………I can feel my blood pressure rising and tf I thought we moved past this disgusting trope????
My blood pressure is rising I s2g.
coffee, chadars and books. [also what do u prefer: paperbacks or hardbacks?]
Amazing. And I prefer paper backs. Hardbacks are bulky and inconvenient, and unnecessarily more expensive
eloquence, strength, karachi.
*kisses* (but also lmao I'm the furthest thing from eloquent)
what are 3 things u associate with me
I can totally get what u mean about people ignoring people begging on the streets but sometimes that's the best thing to do. When I was younger I was walking with my mom and my mom stopped to give the man money. He ended up grabbing me and tried to pull me away from my mom. It was really scary so it's also important to keep in mind that you don't know these people. They could have a mental illness or end up being dangerous. If you do stop to talk/give them money, just try to keep a distance.
Point taken. I’m sorry you had to go through that. Just to clarify: I didn’t imply anything about getting up close and personal. But I also refuse to generalize and paint them as criminals and "crazy", because that’s yet another stereotype that indirectly places a lot of blame on them, and takes attention away from the root of the problem. You should definitely be cautious I agree, but that goes for any stranger anywhere, regardless of their class. My post was mostly directed towards people who downright harbor contempt for the homeless, for beggars, and their disdain manifests itself as an active disregard of their presence. I've even seen people roll their eyes to the people they're with. This clearly screams “I think I’m better than you and you’re not worthy of my time so I’m going to continue doing what I was doing even if you’re begging me to give you money/food, etc.”
Why do some people literally ignore the presence of someone begging on the streets? There’re those who’ll verbally berate beggars and yell at them to go find a job and be “respectable”, and then there are those who walk right past or stand their and continue talking to their friend, for example, when someone is standing right next to them asking for help. Even if you don’t have anything of monetary value to give, even if you’re broke yourself, you’re not on the streets trying to scrape by so frigging ACKNOWLEDGE their presence, talk to them, say something that isn’t disparaging. Pretend to not be the piece of shit you may actually be, just pretend for a moment ffs. It drives me up the wall.
I haven’t watched the Grey’s finale because I have finals but I’ve seen spoilers already and I’m just mentally preparing myself to (discreetly) sob while I’m watching it on the plane in 3 days
I have like 7 different laughs and they’re all ugly
You're wrong

It's more about preserving your reputation as a good, respectable, norm-adhering family than it is about being "religious" in my onion
