A WALK TO REMEMBER?
After meeting S that night things sort of accelerated in my life, we made our first roadtrip with our dog to my dad's place, celebrated Diwali in the hills as a family, got my result, attended a PCRC concert (ps- we both love that band and I have my fingers crossed that we attend it together :')), made a trip to Pune for weekender which I manifested for months(alone), shifted to a new PG with my best friends, performed in MAIDS(managed to not fall), started my internship, got drunk, celebrated, developed a crush on a guy I met at the concert, bunked college to go to Vrindavan and worked on my mental health. ( Yes each of these events require a special blog but for now I will stick to writing about this guy🙈 also I guess he turned out to be lucky or something for me because things were just going beautifully)
So as my friend was having her exams, she would give me her phone to talk to S when he called. Ngl I was very excited for them same 😌. Funny enough, even though we met just once, the conversations flowed so much better on call. It felt he didn't judge me for anything and there was no inhibition. The conversations were fluid and would flow from one topic to another seamlessly. My friends would already tease me after having a call with him because I felt happy, I looked happy. Even though I was talking to other guys at the time, there was something about S. We didn't even have each other's number and our only way to communicate was through the friend's phone. And we didn't even realise how we ended up talking for more than 30 mins at a stretch. He (is) a great listener, he would listen to me yapp for minutes about the same topic, I always thought that he was an army brat because of the way he spoke and because of his mannerisms only to realise that he developed that over years because of his school. Apart from that we were similar in being the elder ones and taking care of the family while our fathers worked in different states (countries for him) This just opened a lot more common topics for us to talk about. During this time around December 23rd ( 2 days before his birthday) we made a plan to meet. Me, two of my friends and him. Even though I was excited to meet him, I dressed up terribly 🙆🏻♀️. Wore a sweater from the 90s, dressed up like a hip hop artist :3, didn't wash my hair and literally left post college.
The plan was to meet at Nehru Place station. While we waited for him me and my friends took a smoke and chai each. Talking about our day we started discussing how it is possible to spot him from miles because he stands out from the crowd ( he's 6'3") and that was true. He wore a red sweater, and did reach on time. This was the first time we were meeting after the birthday. We said hi and I asked him for a smoke. He said he only smokes monds and doesn't like to have a bigger cigarettes which I found extremely absurd ( only to find all of us switching to that in another 2 months🙈😂). While discussing about our lives we took an auto to a cafe nearby for drinks and mozzarella sticks 🙆🏻♀️. During that auto ride he smoked his mond and shared it among all of us. With the smell of green apple filling the air I tried to get a glimpse of him from the side eye ( it's very weird that I remember these details) once we reached there we went upstairs and I sat diagonally across him. The lighting just made him look even more handsome than he already is and I really wanted to take his picture ( for aesthetic purposes only).
The beer definitely helped me to ease a bit because I knew him the least and was only there for a good time. During our conversations he mentioned that he saw someone with beautiful hair as mine but purple in colour. And he suggested I should do the same. While I was pretty chill about it I am sure I definitely blushed and was happy that I was noticed 🙈 (only to realise that now there are almost 500 pictures of me in his gallery). After some smokes we went to have momos and I made a very silly Oswald reference and he laughed at it. I remember that he didn't eat much but was definitely up for the street food we had. Post food we made a long walk to the metro station and during that time we kind of matched our pace to walk together. We talked about something, probably I flexed all the artists I saw in Pune, probably he told me about his new matches but we all went back with a big smile on our faces.
