Yes, Brendon's voice had a hard time at the Jakarta show in August 2008. But I think it's impressive that he still did it.

Ryan had sounded pretty sick when he tried to talk in Malaysia towards the start of the Asian shows. Jon sang Ryan's parts in Singapore & Malaysia. When fans met Ryan offstage in Singapore, he stayed silent and gestured to his throat.

But Brendon had to roll with whatever quality of voice he had. He also didn't seem like he was doing great with the heat & humidity in general... like he threw up onstage in Singapore. And then he came onstage in his glasses in Indonesia.
