Starting off with the astrological meanings of the Sun and Moon. The Sun is seen as the masculine form, the life, the energy. It's the soul. Through Panic!'s career, who's been the only one keeping it going? Who's the common denominator? What keeps shining on even if you're on the wrong side of the world to see it? In terms of the Moon, there's a quote from Grant Lewi, an astrologist about the Moon's mature—it's got “Thoughts that do often lie too deep for tears." Ryan's of course the thinker, the ponderer, the lyricist we all revere. To quote from an article from cafeastology, "The wordless ecstasy, the mute sorrow, the secret dream, the esoteric picture of yourself that you can’t get across to the world, or which the world doesn’t comprehend or value – these are the products of the Moon in your horoscope." Ryan's writing, at times, is able to convey this all. The Moon and Sun coexist, but one main thing to note is that the moon cannot shine without the Sun, but the sun would still be bright with or without the moon. After the split, Brendon continued on the path of commercial success, shining for the world to see. Ryan took a more subtle path, more lurking in the shadows, perhaps not looking to shine now that his sun was gone. (Please consider Spencer and Jon as stars or planets in this metaphor, I don't want to leave them out.) Now the reason I mentioned the sun's masculinity is. Look at Ryan. The moon's feminine energy stands right here in his cute little rose vest.
Okay, moving onto their outward appearances. Brendon practically lives in gold. Gold is considered tacky and bright, but also richness. Gold is the first place, the star of the show. And Brendon dresses like he knows his part.
The Moon's silver, the second place often overlooked. Its impact, however, cannot be ignored. The Moon turns tides.
Ryan seems to tend to dress in cooler colours, greys and blues and purples and so on. Red can even be considered cool, if it's got a more blue undertone. He's a total silver girlie (twins!), just look at the chains on the rose vest. Red and gold are an incredible combo and there has to be a reason he picked silver. For instance, it suits him better.
Now, think about how they both look in the spotlight. Brendon glows under a warm wash, while Ryan looks at home in blue. They've found their colours.
I don't feel the need to talk about their personalitoes matching the Sun and Moon, I think I've sort of done that throughout. However, take a look at the makeup. The evidence is there.
Okay sorry I'm done I think I'm gonna be late for my job interview if I keep going thank you for coming to my ted talk
