Your name is BRO STRIDER— well that isn’t your ACTUAL name, that’s just what you go by— and you are a TEACHER. Your little bro, DAVE STRIDER, attends the school you teach at, which you find ironically amusing. Your not sure if he feels the same way, though. You’re a pretty LAID BACK teacher who will even sometimes participate in some of the SHENANIGANS the kids pull. You were selected to teach the various HEALTH and ANATOMY classes, which you guess is pretty cool. You find it quite AMUSING to teach trolls about the HUMAN REPRODUCTION SYSTEM, and that is definitely your favorite lesson of the school year. Outside of class, you tend to hang out in the LIBRARY as a LIBRARY MONITOR. You’re pretty CHILL about that, too. You don’t really care what goes on as long as the kids are decently QUIET and WELL-BEHAVED. Probably because you tend to just type away at the computer there, working on your WEBSITES or chatting on PESTERCHUM. Your chumhandle is puppetErotica and you type with at least decent grammar and perfect spelling, save for the fact you are too lazy to use the shift key, and the only type of punctuation you use are periods and question marks. Your phrases tend to ooze SARCASM and FLATTERY.
"I dont mind as long as you don’t."
She didn’t want to seem needy or clingy so she didn’t want to say ‘hell yes i want this to be a date!!’
She curled some unruly hair behind her ear and looked down at her hands and continues to move her thumb up and down on the glass.
"No," he said slowly, as if considering his words carefully. "No, I don't mind. I mean... I'm sure some others would, though. But..." He trailed off and shrugged his shoulders.
"Isn’t that what this is?" She places her cup on the table and looks at him, flashing a bucktoothed grin in response to his.
She rubs her thumb up and down the glass. She would love to date him again.
She gives his reaction to the girl a soft giggle, and shaking her head a bit.
She moves her cup for the plates for later and looks at his face. Ah. He’d blushed when she pulled her hand away.
He was thinking the same thing as she. Or at least she suspected.
"Actually nothing. I’ve been to busy to do anything. Ive been at work so i havent really gone out. Not to the library or on dates."
She shrugs, suddenly wondering what his rough calloused hands would feel like on her womanly curves now. She flushes red at the thought and then drinks from her cup to hide it.
"Really? I haven’t either, though," he shrugged. "We should… hang out more."
He glanced up from his hands and at her, offering her a small smile. He caught her blush before she hid it with her cup and couldn’t help but chuckle a little amusement. Were they thinking the same thing, perhaps?
"You mean like... go on dates or something?"
Her face flushes red again and she takes slow sips from her cup.
Maybe she was assuming too quickly or maybe she was thinking too much.
But she couldn't help the small spark of hope inside her at the thought of them "dating."

She laughs. “She’s flirting, silly.” She shakes her head, still laughing. And puts down her menu, sure of what she’s going to order.
She slides some of her fingers across his knuckles in a comforting manner. “I’ll pay for my own, Derick” she tells him softly as she looks up into his eyes, or at leaat, where she thinks they are behind those shades.
"No really it's fine." She gives him a smile and her eyes go down to where her hand is ontop of his and shes rubbing her thumb on the side of his hand.
"I can pay for myself." She mumbles, still her eyes at their hands. Her voice was soft and calm.
She remembered those hands sliding down her curves, gripping pushing. She sighs softly at the memory and goes to move her hand away as the waitress approaches.
"Okay," he agrees hesitantly. "If you really want to..."
He catches himself watching their hands as well, and thinking of thoughts that... weren't all that appropriate, to say the least. He immediately flushes just a bite-- a faint red blush. It fades as she pulls her hand away from his when the waitress approaches.
The waitress takes their food order, still giggling and grinning much to Bro's irritation. "Yes, okay, thank you," he says shortly with a sarcastic smile on his face to make her get the hell away. She doesn't sense the sarcasm and irritation and smiles again before walking away.
"Holy hell," he grumbles. He slowly shakes his head in irritation. "Anyway... besides the job, how have you been?"
She laughs. “She’s flirting, silly.” She shakes her head, still laughing. And puts down her menu, sure of what she’s going to order.

She orders just a normal coke, giving the waitress a friendly grin before sliding her eyes back to those blasted shades of his.
The waitress didn’t pretend like she wasn’t checking out Derick. She was obviously trying to flirt with those cute giggles of hers.
But Jade didn’t really mind or get jealous. She just watched the way his mouth moved as he spoke to her.
"Hold on some of your hair is—" she moved some loose hairs away from his face, leaning over the table a bit as the waitress left to get the drinks.
“Uhm.” She started, moving back into her seat. “I got an offical job at the dog shelter. I’m one of the managers now and I deal with almost all the dogs. I love it.”
"What?" He moves a hand to his hair a bit self-consciously. "What’s it doing?" He asks, removing his hat to run a hand through it out of habit. "It’s been acting weird lately. Thanks."
He cracks a grin as she tells him about her job. “Aww, really? That’s great. I’m happy for you.”
He knows that’s the kind of job she needs. It’s perfect for her.
"Y’know," he toys with his cap for a moment before plopping it back into his head. "I’ve kinda been thinking a lot lately about adopting a dog. Like a pit bull. Or just something… big. Just so that I won’t be as lonely in my apartment. Maybe I’ll drop by your work sometime and look into that," he grins.
"Or instead of a dog you could just get someone to move in with you." She teases him playfully, grinning at him. Oh how she missed him and their playful banter.
The waitress drops off the drinks, and menus then “accidentally” bumps Derick before giggling, apologizing, and going back as she waits for their orders.
"But yes, I’d love that. I know the perfect dog for you if you actually wanna go through with it."
She moves a hand through her long hair before picking up a menu.

Jade taps her fingers on the table, occasionally looking up at the door when people enter. She’d only been waiting a few minutes, but it felt like forever.
She had gotten a text from Derick asking if she wanted to get lunch and maybe hang out afterwards, and who was she to deny her former (and…
Bro can’t believe he had actually made plans with Jade. A couple of nights ago, feeling lonely, he had texted her asking to meet him for lunch. He honestly didn’t expect for her to respond, but she had.
He walks into the restaurant, scanning the room and looking for her. A grin plays across his face as he spots Jade, and he returns the hug when he reaches her.
"Hey, Jadey," he says, hugging her tightly. "How’ve you been?" Bro pulls away from the hug after a few moments and looks at her warmly. "Haven’t seen you in awhile."
She hugs him nice and tightly back and smiles brightly up back at him.
"It’s been to long, really. What have you been up to?" She giggles, wanting to kiss him but deciding against it.
She slips down into her seat again and waits for him to sit infront of her.
God, she missed him. His scent, his confident smile. His cow-lick shaped hair. It really had been a while since that meeting outside hks truck (which was awkward, since they had had sex in that truck. (Really, she lost her virginity in that truck))
But they both had kinda texted occasionally back and forth now and then.
But there he was, infront of her again.
"Not much, really…" he says with a shrug, sliding down into the seat across from her. He props an elbow up on the table and rests his chin in his hand. "Just kinda… going, you know? Nothing important. What about you?"
He’s not going to tell her he’s been drinking a lot lately. Or that he’s sorta been skipping out on going to work a lot. He doesn’t think it’s obvious that he’s been feeling shitty lately— save for the dark circles under his tired amber eyes. But that’s what the shades were for.
The waitress approaches to take their drink orders. She’s cute— red hair, bright blue eyes, and a perky smile. But he doesn’t even notice. He’s focused on Jade. Once again, thank goodness for the shades. He spares the waitress a glance when he orders his drink though; an unsweetened ice tea. But his gaze returns to Jade as he waits for her to order her drink.
