Given that Hunter explained that he and his brothers killed each other to be the best hunters, does that mean Huntershibo gave his children knives and told them to hunt each other?

Nope! He's learned the Wonders and Joys of pack hunting with his new (very warm) brother and is more experienced than when he was a grub. He does, however, to the other hashira's horror, bring his kids to the corps and hunting with him. Even if that hunting is demons.

(His eldest is named Saika & she Bites. His descendants are a Bit feral & eldritch Don't Worry About It :> (才  "talent, ability, only"　花  "flower, flower-like, to bloom")

I love your Huntershibo au (I haven't played Hollow Knight or any of the other games or watched a full playthrough but I know the general story and LOVE the vibes and look of them lmao) but all that green makes him look like Tanjiro and I just think that's a little funny for no reason😭😭

No no you're right, it's funny, I didn't even catch that- if the sengoku hashira saw Tanjiro they'd totally think he's somehow Hunterkatsu's kid lmao. They don't care the timelines don't match up or that they've seen him (Hunterkatsu) carrying his kids around, that could totally be his kid; wears the same colors, same black-and-red hair, sure he (Tanjiro) has eyes closer to Yoriichi but that's nothing suspicious.

(Love that you're loving the AU, I'm having fun writing fics and drawing it lol)
