Wisconsin Farmers Have High Hopes with First Hemp Harvest
Expanding was outlawed in the USA in 1957. In 2014, the plant was reinstated. States started enabling farmers to grow the crop and also currently, 61 years after it was made illegal, the controversial plant is back in Wisconsin fields.
According to the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and also Customer Defense, 183 cultivators grown hemp on 1,850 acres this year.
