“Don’t be so grumpy. Maybe group therapy will actually help you.”

“People are aware of the fact us patients have better things to do than sit in a circle and share our feelings, yeah?”
“Don’t be so grumpy. Maybe group therapy will actually help you.”
“Don’t count on it, dear. Not unless you get your hands a little dirty.”
“How could I do that?”
“Sawyer… Oh, the intern? How has that been for the two of you?”
“It could be worse, honestly. It’s a little complicated, but... it makes my stay easier.”
“That part is up to you and your behavior while you’re here. I’m Dr. Fiore, a medical doctor here… What was your name?”
“I’m Serena. Serena Sawyer. My brother works here.”
“And you will! Just as soon as your doctor clears you.”
“How long will it be?”
“Why? You missing mommy and daddy?”
“Yes, actually. Is there a problem with that?”
“To go home, you have to go to therapy. If you skip therapy, you don’t get to get out of here. Sorry.”
“I told you the only person I will see is you.”
“Look, I just want to go home already, okay? It’s not that hard to understand...”
kindness and love floods her spirit.     she is sweet, gentle, and sensitive.  she cares for those who cannot care for themselves,               and loves those who cannot find love elsewhere.   she is warm hearted in every respect.Â
“Do you ever feel like this is the only place we’ll ever know?” Eli asked the other, sat on the edge of his bed curled up in a thick blanket. “Like we’re on a different planet and we’re so far from home that everyone has forgotten about us? This is our life now and it’s all we have left.”
Serena looked over at the older man when he began to speak, a small frown beginning to form. “I understand. Maybe that’s how it is, in a way. These walls are like another planet, and everything beyond them is a whole universe that we will never be able to explore...”
“Really? Thanks.” She reached over to take a handful of french fries from the other trey, landing them onto her own. “So… How’s life?”Â
“No problem.” She smiled kindly at the girl who seemed to be about the same age. “Uh, it’s alright... could be better, I guess...”
“Hey are you gonna finish that? I’m uh… Kinda hungry.”
“Not really, no. Go right ahead; I can grab myself something different from the kitchen.”
“I know, I feel you. Hopefully they’ll actually take a break from their needle stabbing soon because damn.”
“I really hope so. I mean, maybe I can talk to my brother and he can see if the doctors can take it easy with you. I know they won’t stop for me, but you actually seem pretty healthy, so I don’t understand why they’re doing it to you.”
“I was just telling you what not to do.”
“Understood. Have you been here long?”
“Don’t tell me how to act.”
“I didn’t realize I was doing so, my apologies. Don’t be so defensive.”
“We’re not exactly the most calm of people.”
“Well, people can at least try to be calm. Has nobody heard of relaxing here?”
“This may not be the place for you.”
“And yet, here I am.”
