Madison rolled her eyes, getting fed up with the amount of time she was waiting to use the restroom. âFor fuck sakes, shit it the fuck out and let another in would ya?â she looked around, not even caring at this point who heard her complaining.
The lights had flickered quite a bit before they went out, leaving Canyon on edge and worried about what would happen if he were to have a seizure here, in front of everyone, but he tried his hardest to force himself to hold it together. If they were going to be stuck here, he might as well try and get some of his meditating done, so he closed his eyes and sat on the ground, hoping to push out some of the stress of the situation out of his mind, but he found that he couldnât get comfortable enough to clear his mind. âThis is ridiculous, how are we supposed to survive in here? Weâll all freeze to death before anyone comes for us.â

Madison laid sprawled out on the floor, hugging her light sweater as close to her body as she possibly could. Hearing the male talk about them surviving, she couldnât help but put in her own two-sense. âListen, weâre probably gonna get stabbed or something but one of these crazies first before we even begin to freeze,â she scoffed, picturing the idea. She then grew a grin on her face as she propped herself up on her elbows. âAlthough, there is a way to stay warm but the staff will probably think itâs again code or some shit.â
Coffee ? ( Madisonxsanders)
Looking over her shoulder again she flashed the young lady a smile â I know itâs just I want going to make me some and just wondered if you would like something â  hearing the girls question Claira paused â Umm I think so let me see if I canât find someâ she turned and started searching the cabinet, it took her a moment but she found two boxes â alright it looks like we have earl gray or mint ⊠which one would you proffer ?â she asked kindly as she turned back around.Â
Madison flipped the charm switched, something that seemed almost too easy at times. In reality, it only happened to keep her guard up so she didnât get the feeling of being hurt anymore. However, being more true, the woman was relieved that other had found a couple varieties of hot tea. âPerfect!â she smiled as she took a place at the table within the room. âI think Iâll have some mint, please and thank you,â she smiled brightly.
âWell of course you can see me, Iâm not a ghost.â She let a small laugh spill out. âBasically, about a month after the accident, I realized why everything was so wrong, I had died. No blood pumps through my veins, I donât need to eat, and I donât sleep. Basically Iâm just waiting for my body to finally give out.â Laney couldnât really understand why others couldnât accept her fate. She shrugged and added, âThatâs what Iâm tellinâ ya.
The brunette couldnât help but find her answer a bit foolish. Of course, she didnât quite understand it at first until she explained it further and what she was explaining only seemed like it would happen in movies. Was she being fucked with? Madison crossed her arms, chuckling vaguely so she wouldnât walk on too many eggshells. âSo, yâdead but youâve got like, unfinished business or somethinâ ând so that means your âspiritâ or something is still here for said reason?â She pressed her lips together while her brows furrowed as she wondered how right her theory was while the woman mentally craved more items that she wasnât allowed to have.
âNot punishment. Iâm merely telling you this for next time you happen to have trash in hand.â
âYou canât be serious. Iâm an insane patient, not a jailbird.â
The girl accidentally bumped into someone, dropping her whiteboard and the marker- which both so happened to have gone in different directions. Quickly, she scrambled to collect the two items to apologize.
âGosh, love -- Wouldnât mind it if you watched where you were going next time,â she suggested with as much false kindness as she could. Madison knelt to the ground, picking up the items that were dropped, âNot a talker, huh?â
âPlease toss this in the trashcan next time, alright? We do pay people to clean, but there is no reason to be lazy.â
âYou gonna punish me for missing the trash can with my garbage?â
Coffee ? ( Madisonxsanders)
It had come to Claraâs attention that it had been a month since she had intered Stonefieldâs hall and in all that time she has yet to find someone other than her sister to talk too. She set out with a challenge for herself , she was going to at least talk to someone new and see if she could spark a friendship.  Walking into the cafeteria Claira began making a pot a fresh coffee, hearing the light sough of footsteps she turned â Can I interest you in some coffee ? â she said with a friendly smileÂ
Every step that the brunette took, was filled with curiosity and nosiness. There was always a reason why the girl was doing something and right now, her mission was to work her charm to get what she wanted. However, she was slightly thrown off by the voice of another woman. âOh uh, -- Hey. Didnât ask fer any but,â Madison looked both ways down the hallway before stepping inside. âSure, why not -- âCept âM more of a tea person,â she said, âGot any of that or am I gonna have to settle with caffeine today?â
Staring at the girl, Eliâs hands wouldnât stay still. He couldnât stay still, but he had to focus, to think about things for a little while. âBecause theyâre going to brainwash us. Theyâll make us conform and theyâll bend us to their will. We have to do something, we have to stop them-â But how? They were all outnumbered here, what was the thing they had that the staff didnât? âWe have to escape.â
âWhy do you think that theyâre trying so hard to come up with medications for shit that they donât have yet, -- So we all can be doped and not who we were intended to be.â Ever since she had gotten locked up in Stonefield, Madison has had more time to think of such things that filled the mind of such people such as Elias.Â
âAh for real? Mostly yelling at all of you to please take your medication, then writing in the report that you didnt. Treating patients because half the doctors diagnose and then dont do anything else.â He explained honestly. âOh and you know secretly all the super important staff stuff that I am a staff member and therefore I do.â He said laughing. âYou know we never interact with the patients outside of the clinic. Thats the therapists job.â
âHuh, I couldâve sworn what were doinâ right now is an interaction between nurse and patient outside of the clinic but, yanno,â she stuck out her tongue enjoying that someone for once hadnât taken a quick offensive to her smart-ass. âNurses seem easier to talk to though, fer real; I mean, seriously. Iâd rather talk to you than someone thatâs gonna ask me how something makes me feel.â she said truthfully. âAnd us patients -- Weâre not all that bad, yanno. Just got to give us some time.â
âHow could I do that?â
âYâknow -- make a deal with the devil, get dirty with the staff, -- I dunno, bribe your way out, yâknow? Somehow thatâs the only way I believe anyone would be able to get out of this hellhole.â
âHeâs my baby and Iâm going to keep him.  I know heâs evil, but I donât care, Iâll take care of him and try to raise him right and then he might be okay, right? Itâs possible.âÂ
âYouâre trapped inside a insane asylum, -- I donât think youâre fit to raise a baby in a place like this,â she looked at the woman as if she was a hundred times more crazier than she was.Â
âLook, I just want to go home already, okay? Itâs not that hard to understandâŠâ
âDonât count on it, dear. Not unless you get your hands a little dirty.â
âNope,â she took back the cig and breathed in the smoke. âIâm dead.â She said as she exhaled the vapors and watched them dissipate into the cool night air. âI was involved in a pretty bad accident a few months ago. I lost a lot of blood. Basically what didnât bleed out, bled internally. But after waking up in the hospital, I knew something was wrong.â She took another long hit and put butt of the cigarette out in her other palm. She smiled and shook her hand back and forth. She flicked the cigg towards the fence to be sure it was less noticeable. âEventually I figured out that I had died in the wreck.â
Madison listened to everything that the blonde had said. If it were really true, then how could she see her? She knew that she herself wasnât dead. And with a raised brow of curiosity, Madison grew intrigued even more of the woman that stood in front of her. âIâm not dead ând I can see you,â she shook her head once or twice, âSo whatâre you trying to tell me, darlinâ?â
âAh right. My bad.â He said holding his hands up and sitting back in his chair. Jasper hated formality and the idea that he was any more sane than the people who had been condemned to time in the hospital. He saw no point in acting like it either. âArent they? My god I could listen to them for hours!â He joked chuckling
âSo, Jasper -- Tell me, whatâs it like being a nurse here for real, yâknow? Whatâs the job entail for you?â She crossed her legs, leaning back even further in her seat to act as interested in the conversation as she could, although through all her sarcasm there was some truth to what she said. âI just have got to know all the ins and out,â she teased.Â
âYeah, when you take the time so just sit back, shut up and watch, you come to learn a lot of secrets about this place.â She took back the cigarette and took a long slow hit from it. Laney closed her eyes and exhaled into the sky. âWho knows when weâll see one of these again,â she said with a slight frown. She took another drag and handed it back to Madison. She liked her snarky attitude. It was a nice change from all of the sensitive assholes. âSo, dancing queen, why are you here?â
âIâve got to learn lots of secrets âbout lots of people but, none that really are that interesting quite yet,â she nipped at her inner lip, watching the sky as the music slowly changed from one song to another. âMm, -- Well, canât be that hard if you got your hand on one,â she suggested the compliment as she was once again lucky to get another drag of the cigarette, this one much longer than the first, making it much more worthwhile. âThey say âM emotionless or somethinâ like that, love.â She scoffed, canting her head to the side as the smoke pulled from her breath, âWhat about you? You a klepto or something?â she teased lightfully.
âNo need to apologize because if I ever started referring to you as patient instead of just your name I think I would have to let you punch me.â He agreed nodding. âI am very professional, thats why I am doing my very professional duties and talking to you instead of filing paperwork in the clinic.â He said motioning to the files he had attached to his clipboard.
âSâwhy I said âsorry not sorryâ, Jasper,â she teased, locking her eyes in contact with his. Madison absolutely loved messing with anyone that she possibly could, especially when theyâre not a wuss about it. âMm, I bet youâd much rather be doing that paperwork than talking to me. Itâs certainly a lot more interesting. Yâknow, -- With all the conversations itâll have with you. Oh, and the stories -- Man, stories from paperwork are the fuckinâ best!â she exclaimed loudly.
