Oh, no, her favorite flowers were going to die out. She wasn't quite happy about that thought.

"Second?" Hikari asked, "Was he tall, hair colour like mine kind of looks mean and tough but is really a totally softy?" Hikari asked, wondering if her brother had tried looking for her to see how she was doing. Hikari gave a sigh as she sat straighter and grabbed another cup of tea. Her nose felt clearer and she could finally smell again.
"So, thatâs why I smelt demon on you. Sesshomaru-sama-youâre Rin! the Rin.â Hikari exclaimed. Having lived on the lords lands, she had spent some time with the lord, going back and fourth between the lord and the other hanyouâs due to disputes sheâd heard tales of the lordâs journey and how he had met Rin. Â
{ â - - } That description could have almost sounded like InuYasha except for the hair color. His was silver, just like Sesshoumaru's. Rin shook her head, looking almost a bit apologetic as she did so. It seemed like Hikari was looking for someone, perhaps. "No, he has silver hair."
Upon hearing the name of her lord, Rin straightened a bit, surprised. Light chocolate brown eyes peered up curiously at the half-demon in front of her. "You know Sesshoumaru-sama?" she asked, blinking. It shouldn't have been that surprising -- he was well-known. But it was also well-known he didn't associate with half-demons, or humans. Rin was a rather rare exception.

Sesshoumaru turned around to walk away.
â
Sunset was slowly arriving as he waited by the river.
"Lord Sesshoumaru!" A screechy imp voice called out to him. "Rin has arrived!"
Ah-Un was dozing off until he turned around and looked up to see Rin. He had missed her company.
{ â - - } It was fair to say Rin was ecstatic all the way back to the village. The small wait made her a bit impatient but when the time came and she was rushing out, just the sight of Sesshoumaru, Jaken and Ah-Un made it all worth wild. Her expression brightened, and she launched herself at Jaken, suffocating him in a hug. He squawked, rebuking her and calling her 'stupid' -- probably in embarrassment more than anger. Rin merely giggled that bell-like giggle of hers. Afterwards, she let him go, walking to Ah-Un and cooing over the dragon with whispered endearments before turning her full attention to her lord. "I'm ready whenever you are, Sesshoumaru-sama," she chimed, cheerfully, awaiting obediently for his command.

{ â - - } 'Kagura-san?' Rin thought to herself, peering from behind the large oak tree she was currently hiding behind. Was the demoness here to kidnap her again? The thought made the girl inwardly wince. A wrong time for her to be wandering afar from her guardians. Aside from the kidnapping fiasco, she didn't actually dislike Kagura though. But, she was wary -- with reason. 'I should go back--' And just as she was stepping back quietly, the snap of a twig branch underneath her foot was heard, and she held her breath.
Busted.
Kagome hearing a familiar small childâs voice, looks up from her Algebra book, to see Rin with Ah-Uh next to her, " Oh hello Rin-chan." Kagome siting up properly and placing her text book down, She takes a deep breath and smiles at the girl â What are you doing here?â If Rin was around that usually means Sesshoumaru was around as well. She was never really ever off on her own.
{ â - - } Rin tugged a rather reluctant Ah-Un over, letting the two-headed dragon eat some grass nearby as she settled down to a sitting position beside Kagome. The dragon had never been really fond of other humans besides Rin. "I was collecting flowers with Ah-Un," she answered. There was a brief pause before she held out a pink flower up to Kagome. "Here, have one, Kagome-sama," she chimed. "Are you alone? I heard you yelling."
AWW FUCK I JUST SAW THIS ON FB SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE ME THE SOURCEÂ
FFFEEELLLSSSSS EVERYWHERE ;___;
Kikyo slightly flinched at Rinâs comment, although said nothing else. âSad⌠huh?â She closed her eyes, a small smile reforming onto her facials. âMaybe I am⌠Maybe Iâm not.â The priestess added quietly.Â
She stood in mere silence, the girlâs statement of her not smiling much⌠Was Kikyo just thatâŚÂ sad? Was hatred just eating up her little by little? Suddenly the priestess forgot how it was to feel happy. All of a sudden her feelings were drained from her. Her expression didnât fall though, she held firm and said, âWell then.. something must have influenced me to be the way I am right now.â
{ â - - } Riddles -- the priestess spoke in riddles. Maybe, normally, people would scamper off at this point, finding talking with the quiet priestess rather dull. But Rin found herself more and more confused -- and fascinated. She had always been a rather eccentric girl herself, anyways; A girl that befriends and dances with demons.
"That is a shame," she said, bluntly. "I'm sure Miko-sama would look nice with a smile." She appeared to ponder over that, something like a flashbulb moment happening as she snapped her fingers. "I can help you smile," she declared, rather proudly, like an earnest promise.

Hikari nodded as the girl spoke about the flowers. They were really pretty. Â She remembered how she would do that for her parents on special occasions or sometimes, just to brighten up the day if the sky was cloudy and grey. Â Hikari gave a scoff at the words youkai. âHalf Inu youkai.â She replied. âIâm Hikari by the way.â
{ â - - } 'Ah --' A hanyou. The concept of a hanyou was rather eccentric to Rin. Mainly because she had spent most of her time with full-blooded demons. The half-demon in front of her seemed more human than demon to be honest. The young girl hummed under her breath then, and a smile spread across her lips. Dog demon. Like her lord. "Rin," she chimed. "I'm Rin. You're the second half-dog demon I've met." She seemed rather amused by this.
Kagome lays on a grassy hill near the village, she lays reading one of her text books in an attempt to study, she mumbling and groaning as she lays there, "None of this makes sense! I am going to be forced out of middle school!" She shouts at no one particular, she still not realizing that people have approached her.Â
{ â - - } If there was one thing Rin liked, it was picking flowers. Now, normally, she didn't make it a habit of wandering off on her own, but it was a beautiful day, and she couldn't help herself. Especially with Sesshoumaru away. Ah-Un was by her side, naturally, and the two-headed dragon busied himself by eating grass as the ever so chipper eight year old plucked bright pink flowers. When the feminine shouting reached Rin's ears, she blinked, puzzled, but recognized the familiar voice. She grabbed Ah-Un's reins then and headed in the direction. Just as she had thought it was Kagome. "Kagome-sama?" Â

"No," he replied. She had traveled so far with him before that this journey would be short in comparison.
{ â - - } "Okay! I should head back to Kaede-baachan's village now to grab a few things. But I will be ready by sunset!" she grinned up at him, cheerfully before adding, "Don't forget!" And it was more a teasing comment than her actually meaning it; she knew Sesshoumaru's words were always final.
"Iâm Sakura. Itâs very nice to meet you, Rin. Which village do you come from?" Remembering her manners, she quickly added, "And welcome to Konohagakure."Â
{ â - - } "Kono-ha-ga-kure?" she repeated, pronouncing the name slow, obvious confusion in her voice. It wasn't a name she was familiar with. Rin pointed a finger then in what she assumed was the east direction, seeing as her village didn't have a name. At least not that she was aware of. She mostly knew it as 'Kaede-baachan's' village. "I've never been in these parts," she murmured.
She lightly scoffed, a small smile appearing on her facials. âThey arenât all bad⌠I may never understand things the way you do.â How would ever Rin understand what Kikyo has been put through? Once, she had hated the one she had loved so much she would kill him, yet now, instead she would be rather distant away from her reincarnation and Inuyashaâs friends. Her hatred had moved towards Naraku, another half demon who was the real blame for her death.
âAngry?" Kikyo repeated. Although her eyes seem to lower down, mixture of different emotions clouded in her hazel eyes. The priestessâs smile had faded, was she always angry and depressed ever since she was given the chance to live another life? Though her soul, was much free compared to when she was truly alive. Free to Hate, Free to Love. It was something that circled in the mikoâs head for a couple of days. âDo I really sound⌠angry? At something, or someone perhaps.â She glanced back up at Rin, not saying anything else.
{ â - - } "Bandits are scarier to me anyways." And it was true. She was terrified of bandits. But Rin's way of thinking was rather innocent and idealistic. A pure contrast to those around her. She didn't like to see the worst in people, but she knew bad people existed.Â
"Somewhat angry," she clarified. "But--kind of sad as well." Like a distant loneliness surrounded her entire presence.
"You don't smile much do you?" It was a bit of a hunch, judging from the previous small smile. But for the most part Rin was good at judging people's character. Just like this priestess didn't seem bad at all. She didn't get any bad vibes from her.
But she could just be terribly naive.

Hikari looked at the girl, mild curiosity plastered on her face.  She slowly put away her weapon, shaking her head. âYou donât seem much a threat now do you?â She asked, as she noticed the garden, the half demon gave a tight lipped smile. âPicking flowers?â Hikari asked as she was still trying to get a good judge on the girl. She did seem harmless.  But so did hamanasu; a pretty flower with thorns.  Thatâs what this young girl could be.
{ â - - } She made an noncommittal sound under her breath. Not much of a threat unless her dog demon protector was around. Then you were in trouble. Dead. Well -- at least she didn't have a blade aimed at her anymore, but she was sure to keep her guard up. "Yes, these gardens always bloom bright colored flowers in fall. So, I like to pick them before they wilt." She blinked, long black eyelashes fluttering. "You smelled me out. Does that mean you're a youkai?" The other didn't look like a full-blooded demon but--
Haha What a cutie âIts just a head piece donât worry~â However the one wrapped around his arm was real. âYouâre in Heliohapt~ Iâm the Ambassador, so how may I help you~?â
{ â - - } 'Heliohapt??' Where in the world was she? "Ambassador?" Rin repeated, confused. What was that? Judging from the gold she figured he was royalty. "Are you like a king?"
"I think I'm lost--" Or, worse.

"Huh?" Hikari turned around, she sniffed the air and realized a human scent behind her. Â "Show yourself" Hikari called, slowly drawing her tanto out as a precaution. The metal gave off a shimmering hue as it was pulled from itâs sheath.Â
{ â - - } Ack. She wasn't going to use that weapon on her was she? Here, Rin had only been minding her business, gathering flowers from the nearby garden. She should have heeded Kaede's advice on not wandering off alone. Slowly, Rin stood to her feet, having been crouched by the bushes. Her glance was openly suspicious. "You aren't going to kill me are you?"Â
Her foot shifted to a stance. Ready to run. She wasn't about to go down without giving the other a race in the process.
Nods. âBut I am use to it to be honestâŚ..and no no friends haha I am not very good at social things.â She said to the girl, her stomach growling. âAhâŚ.sorry.â
{ â - - } How very sad. Rin had known that feeling of loneliness herself in the past. "I can be your friend," she was quick to say. When the growling was heard, she blinked. "You're hungry. Would you like something to eat? I have some fish I just got from the river that I was going to cook over an open fire."
