Mindfulness Meditation 101
There are tons of benefits to practicing mindfulness meditation. It’s a scientifically proven method to increase personal happiness, empathy towards others, greater cognitive ability, and significantly less stress/anxiety levels. As if that weren’t enough, it’s great for your posture too!
This is a super simple practice that you can do practically anywhere and for any length of time. Great for modern witches on the go to bring some real magic to your day!
How: 1. Sit down- find a place that won’t distract you and get into position. You can sit in a chair with your feet flat on the floor, cross legged on the ground, or whatever is comfortable for you. Straighten your spine, imagine the top of your head being pulled by a string towards the sky.
2. Breathe- Focus your attention on your breath. Doesn’t matter how you do it (in and out through the nose or the mouth or any combination therein). Clean air going in, stagnant/negative air leaving the body taking with it all your stress and anxiety.
3. Manage the Mind- At some point your mind will start to wander. Don’t beat yourself up about it, it’s normal. Acknowledge the thought then let it pass returning your attention to the breath. Imagine you are a pedestrian watching the highway of your thoughts stream by. A passive onlooker, aware but not engaged.
This is a really simple and easy way to begin gaining control of your thoughts (a basic skill for practicing magic) and feeling refreshed and able to take on anything!
Remember: Magic takes practice!

let it go again and again you must let it go. when you begin to clench when your knuckles begin to whiten when you feel yourself getting stuck in it. open your palms let it go.
