“know that there is no God except Allah, and ask forgiveness for your sin”
Make sure you recite some Qur’an today. Even one ayah. Even one page. Even just sitting with the words for a few minutes. Don’t let today pass without it.
And they rejected them, -Allah’a signs- while their [inner] selves were convinced thereof, out of injustice and haughtiness 27:14
i read a quote that was like “i used to think Allah would punish me if i don’t pray, until i realized that not praying Is the punishment.” that hits hard.
all you have to do is be better, not perfect, not even amazing, just be a little bit better than you were yesterday.
sometimes you need to confront yourself, with all honesty, and regret— enough with the denial, with the excuses; it was not a mistake, it was not a slip, you thought about it, you calculated, you planned it, you fully, and eagerly intended it. you did wrong, don’t justify it, don’t sugarcoat it, admit it, pray for forgiveness, and move on.
my first advice to someone who wants to be a better worshipper of Allah, is not to leave sins —- i've tried that, when your heart is too attached to disobedience and sins you need an attachment that's stronger to make you quit something, what i did was do more good, pray longer, read quran more often, learn more duaa, send prayers upon the prophet more often, then your heart will slowly change on its own, i grew hateful of sins, just the thought of something that displeases Allah disgusted me, i felt my heart so attached to Allah that no pleasure could disturb that.
asking yourself to quit something you're so in love with, with nothing to replace it with is almost impossible, and you can't understand it, you will constantly wonder why i'm doing this why i'm struggling why don't i just do what i want -whatever sin-—- so it'll probably not work if you don't strongly believe in, and understand why you're trying to change.
my point is, take a step, and Allah تبارك وتعالى will push you closer to the goal.
Surat Al-Ankaboot 29
And whoever strives only strives for [the benefit of] himself. Indeed, Allah is free from need of the worlds. 6
And of the people are some who say, "We believe in Allah," but when one [of them] is harmed for [the cause of] Allah, they consider the trial of the people as [if it were] the punishment of Allah. 10
And those who strive for Us - We will surely guide them to Our ways. And indeed, Allah is with the doers of good. 69
you always remember Allah in your happy days, He will not ignore you in your bad day
Immortal in it, they will not wish to leave from it.
Prayer time is your break from this world. Athan is your notice to rest, go and be with your Lord for a little while.
If you have a heavy heart, do more istighfar.
I need no thanks from you I do it for Allah.
true believers are calm, kind, gladly selfless, effortlessly content, knowing that there is a breathtakingly powerful being above them, protective of them, has love for them, makes one’s soul at peace, everything is alright, no need for struggle, no need for attention seeking, no need for stress, what the Lord wills, will be, and what the Lord wills, is perfect and wise.
