The wooden dragons formed pretty much the same way they always have, but there was an odd…viciousness in their attacks. They would normally just knock enemies away and wind them enough for the prince to get in and finish the job. But this time they were latching their jaws onto them and not letting go, no matter how much the people squirmed.

An eerie green glow started traveling up through their fangs and back towards the raven’s torso, the enemies’ struggling slowing down dramatically. They looked..like they were almost getting weaker the longer the dragons were latched onto them.

"Hahaha, I’m fine. What are you talking about, Hakuryuu?" Zagan’s voice echoed in his mind at the question.

"You're not- that's not normal," he replies stupidly, the green glow distracting him. Strength is slowly starting to return to him, and he has a feeling that the glow is partially responsible. "What was that? I never knew I could do that." Or you could, for that matter.

It's not long before the men drop to the ground, wide-eyed and still--dead, just about--when a few more come to replace them. They're the last of the bunch, Hakuryuu notices, and the merchants behind him muster up enough courage to rejoin him in the fray, attempting to help him take down the remaining intruders.
