did you seriously have sex with The Other?
For it is not by describing that words acquire their power: it is by naming, by calling, by commanding, by intriguing, by seducing that they slice into the naturalness of existences, set humans on their path, separate them and unite them into communities. The word has many other things to imitate besides its meaning or its referent: the power of speech that brings it into existence, the movement of life, the gestures of an oration, the effect it anticipates, the addressee whose listening or reading it mimics beforehand.

you know what i got major beef with. the everpresent notion that your right to be free of witnessing suffering overrides other people's right to be free of that very suffering
like i don't think you understand how prevalent it is, it's EVERYWHERE. people will see a woman dying of anorexia and the Wokerrrs will first and foremost scold her for 'exposing vulnerable young women to unhealthy body standards' and being complicit to fatphobia and whatnot. they see a person with obvious sh wounds or scars and their first worry is that they are glorifying their issues by just passively existing in their own body. a woman doesn't hide the abuse she's undergoing in her relationship sufficiently and she's the villain for 'romanticizing it'. it's fucking everywhere. we protect this hypothetical innocent healthy person who might be influenced if they are ever made to witness suffering sooo much it's beginning to look to me like it's not this person you're really protecting at all, only your own comfort, and you found a technically justifiable way of voicing it

lets not jump to conclusions. it could easily be time-sorcery
They fuck you up, your mom and dad. They absolutely mean to and they ruminate about it like emperors plotting sieges, for hours a day, they have excel spreadsheets called "quickest pathway towards Giving my innocent child borderline personality disorder,"... But they do.

"It's like a hole in my life, an eight-year hole. That's what I find interesting in people's lives, the holes, the gaps, sometimes dramatic, but sometimes not dramatic at all. There are catalepsies, or a kind of sleepwalking through a number of years, in most lives. Maybe it's in these holes that movement takes place."
—Gilles Deleuze, On Philosophy
