Purple Bee Crew

Purple Bee is a sanctuary for creativity, producing innovative music and events in Central Texas. Their mission is to celebrate 'living in the moment' by engineering awesome experiences for both artists and fans. They believe in the power of a funky groove — using improvisational music to champion creativity and collaboration. The Purple Bee facilities include a professional recording studio and intimate concert venue in Cedar Creek, TX run by the Purple Bee Crew – a collective of musicians, engineers, artists, and one-of-a-kind personalities - all combining talents to make something real - something bigger than the sum of its parts. For bands that collaborate with Purple Bee - It's a retreat from the normal club scene and a platform to make honest music for attentive ears. It's a place to cross-pollinate with other bands and songwriters. It's a place where they can remember the reason they started playing music.

A Live One has always been inspired by Phish's innovative, self-produced festivals and we strive to take a similar approach to our own events (our first being The Barber Ball in 2013). While our festivals take place on a much smaller scale, we look forward to paying tribute to the spirit of these events in our own sincere way. Our second installment of this tradition will be The Grego Went - an homage to Phish’s ‘Great Went’ Festival from 1997, and a reference to our host and soundman, the infamous and highly-talented Grego Loboz. This event will be held at the new Purple Bee Studio in Cedar Creek, TX (just 25min east of Austin). We hope to inspire the joy many of us have felt at these Phish festivals.
