NPD culture is having way too much emotional empathy, but NO cognitive empathy. If someone is crying, I will probably start crying (and be agitated if people are around to see me), but when someone tells me something that I don’t understand or agree with, I just don’t care or get it. Then, I’m agitated because I’m failing at understanding or I just think they are plain wrong.

BPD culture is hating being told “just be yourself”. My brother in christ if I was “myself” (whoever that is) I’d have a six episode true crime docuseries on Netflix about me

Questioning NPD (+ diagnosed autism) culture is thinking you had hyper empathy because of your autism, then realizing what you felt wasn’t actually empathy and you have no idea how people’s emotions work

BPD CULTURE IS wishing that non-bpd people would understand how 90% of what people consider to be "manipulative behavior" from us is literally just.. us expressing emotions. Me expressing how I feel guilty for being so draining and apologizing for how I behave on bad days (ex: ghosting, or meltdowns) is not so I can win your affection or pity, it's literally just so I can explain how I feel in a way that you can understand me better..
It gets so tiring when everytime I try to express my own guilt and shame about my disorder I get accused of "guilt tripping" "manipulating" or "being attention seeking" instead of actually being recognized for how I feel.
Like, c'mon guys.. I'm a person too.. I'm allowed to be sad and feel lonely and feel guilty and I should deserve the same comfort/to be heard as much as someone without BPD 🥲

So many of my NPD traits come from being told the exact opposite of what the disorder is all about. I spent years and years being constantly told both through actions and words that I was inferior. That I didn’t matter. And I will be damned if I let anyone make me feel inferior again.
That’s really what it boils down to. It’s not about being more than. It's about the intense dread of being less than.
NPD culture is wanting to stab all the fucking narc abuse truthers because I am trying so hard to be a “good person” but they condemned me without ever meeting me and they’re just a bunch of asshole ableiste looking for someone to blame. They say narcs can’t change but that's not because of us. That’s because they can’t ever see us differently. We’re fucking people not some label to slap on anybody you don’t like and not some monster under the bed. We are traumatised, hurting people trying their best to survive and the only people surviving narcissism are pwNPD and anyone who thinks otherwise can go to hell

my feelings of superiority that come from my npd is usually not "im better than everyone" but "everyone is worse than me" and even though they sound similar, they feel completely different to me

Hypersexual npd culture is absolutely thriving in being lusted over. But at the same time it's dehumanising. You're not even being a person anymore, just a thing, maybe an idea of a person.

(Questioning + covert) npd culture is not telling anybody about your possible npd because of the stigma but also really wanting to tell them and have them be against it because then you can argue with them and know that you’re right and superior and they’re not.

npd culture is getting jealous of people who call themselves "CEO" of something like CEO of Character and wishing people recognized you for your favorite character but you know theres already someone who's popular for posting content of your favorite and you HATE HATE HATE it like im the 100% correct one about that character... listen to me.. i should be the "CEO" (i think its a dumb title to have but i still want it because i have to be the best)
