Hey guys, I'm currently on a family vacation for a few days and won't probably be able to work on the last part of Rabbits on the Trails Chapter 1 for now, and I only have a small sketchbook and a few pencils with me, so instead I'll be partaking on a little challenge, which I'll call:

KISS CHALLENGE

All you have to do is comment here or send an ask requesting which characters you want me to draw and which part of the body (hand, cheek, mouth, etc.) you want them to kiss/you want them to be kissed on.

RULES:

This is a DETN only challenge, no other fandom are included.

The kiss can be either romantic or platonic. If your request involves at least one of the kid it will, of course, be platonic by default (we are not weird here...)

Suggestive for romantic kisses is okay, but nothing too inappropriate!

I'm a meatlovers and terrabbit shipper first (yes I fell in the terrabbit trenches thanks to Discord lol) BUT requests with other pairings are welcome too!

Adding this to be clear: the challenge only involve canon characters (either seen on screen or mentionned), not OCs!

So, in the world of DETN, how do you think their government works? The fact that it's implied and explicitly stated in the show that a predator can just 100% eat prey and very few people will make a fuss about it. Matter of fact, how and why would anyone agree to the system customer, and what about their technology? The fact is that in episode 2, Lucy has an actual tank (although that is considered a toy) that shoots real ammo. On top of that, other meat related items are sold, implying that they came from someone and are being sold by prey as well?

Since the whole premise happens in a deeply rural part of England, there's probably not as much law enforcement as in a big city like London. Maybe somebody makes sure no police station can be set up in the Woodlands by donating a generous sum to the mayor, so he can still go on his killing spree unfazed. Maybe the laws surrounding hunting practices are still so muddled in the country (and perhaps worldwide) predators can easily bypass them. Though as time goes on and new generations seems less and less interested in keeping this predator-prey dynamic going, it's only a matter of time before hunting practices become entirely outlawed.

I don't think that means meat itself is prohibited, but their sale is (on paper) maybe regulated, thus making it a delicacy. Think of a prey animal agreeing to donate body parts to be sell to the carnivorous population should something happen to them ("accidents" are quick to happen though...) The main income of proteins for predators is whatever they can fish from freshwater sources or the ocean, with maybe insects and highly proteined plants and vegetables on the side (yeah yeah I'm stealing those ideas from Beaststars and Zootopia).

As for the tank... Just remember that, for us IRL, those kind of toys existed lol. Maybe we shouldn't be surprised about the lack of toy safety in DETN when we did just as badly, if not worse.

Well I'll be damned lol, three requests for this ship? Alright...

But since none of you gave me a body part to work with, I'll make my own scenario ~

Bear x Fox - After date kiss (but...)

"It was a nice evening... But young lad, you must not settle for me."

So... a bit of explanation is needed here. In this picture Fox is eighteen. Bear is already well in his thirties, maybe early forties. While none of the adults have a canon age, based on Bear's facial features and his voice tone, I do see him much older than the rest of the cast (by the time the show's timeline kicks in he's already in his late fifties, early sixties). This is important for the context here. Another important point is that Fox, a gay man growing up in rural England between the 1970s-1980s where meeting people from the same orientation as you is extremely difficult (not to mention still not positively viewed), who also suffers from loneliness (even if only subconsciously) would absolutely jump into a relationship with a much older man without checking if the age gap would not cause a certain power imbalance. This is also important for the context.

(Note that the important age gap in the gay men community IS a real thing, even to this day. I'm not saying it is a bad thing if both parties are consenting adults, but when it involves young men just out of teenagehood one must question if it's really healthy...)

So young Fox, barely eighteen, hear about this bear who just moved in the community. Everybody is afraid of this guy. Our vulpine, who's turned on by the idea of dating a strong male predator, decides to try his shot. To his surprise, when he meets Bear and asks him on a date, he agrees. Jackpot, he thinks, already twisting the whole thing into the "love at first sight" scenario he only hears in romance books. The date goes well, Bear is very nice and a gentleman... But when it ends, the older predator kisses his hand and gently lets him down, because Bear is aware that this kid is looking to date him for all the wrong reasons. That he has still plenty of years to grow, take care of his issues and find someone, whereas Bear has already had his loves and losses and just want to enjoy a peaceful life even if all alone.

Cue to a crushed Fox who, of course, does not take the whole thing well and instead of trying to better himself and his mental state, decides to never get attached to a guy ever again (mother was right, damn it mother was right) and goes on to pile up one hookup after another for the next twenty years or so... (... until Wolf?)

This one could've been interpreted in different ways, so I decided to go for "younger version of their kids" and to focus on Rabbit and Lucy, since I have a ton of requests for Wolf and the pups lined up!
