I can say whatever I want and I can look however I want, but we are definitely put in boxes, I mean like, annoyingly so. Especially compared to guys - I know for a fact because I’ve known so many actors personally, and also I’m interested in it so I pay attention.

Some people try to do that thing where you craft a character. I cannot be anyone other than who I am. If I can’t empathize with something [my character] does, it’s a problem.
