Gonna have this pinned because I don’t want minors interacting with me since I do plan to show off art from adult fandoms like TFC since I am in the fandom, plus minors make me uncomfortable.

Thank you for notifying me! I like to take people at face value and try to look for ages on blogs and make it VERY clear that I am uncomfortable interacting with minors in any sort of, especially given the fandoms and content I'm connected to. I guess the assumption that most would respect that basic boundary is something I need to be a lot more pessimistic about. I like supporting artists, writers and other creators across a lot of topics, often ones that are very sensitive or otherwise very inappropriate for minors to be interacting with.

The Freak Circus is an adult game for those over the age of 18. I do not want to interact with minors with this fandom at all, that is a hard boundary and I make that abundantly clear.

I can't control other people on the internet and I don't inherently think minors should mark their blogs as such (that is something very dangerous, never mark yourself like that as there are people who will try to target) but god, that makes it so hard to feel comfortable to interact with random fans. Tiktok was bad enough, though it's not at all a far toss for tumblr and twitter to be the same.

It's just.... disheartening, especially when I just assume people will 'follow the rules' and I know that's just a strong aspect of my autism (and yes, I know it comes off very naive of me, but that's just the internet culture I grew up with).

So, going forward, I am not going to be directly interacting with people unless you have a clear age or some other indication of your age on your blog as being an adult. I cannot afford to have anything to do with minors in TFC for so SO many reasons— it is incredibly dangerous, uncomfortable, and arguably disrespectful since me and the rest of the TFC team have not at all made it a secret that we are adults and this is a game for adults.

Why can’t people just respect boundaries? It’s not that hard to wait until you are the age of 18 to play the game. Minors bragging about being in adult fandom spaces will never be cool or accepting. If people can’t respect boundaries, it makes them look like a bad person.

If you’re a minor claiming to be mature but go against other people’s boundaries, especially adults, then you were never mature to begin with. You are making so many adults uncomfortable being in a place that isn’t meant for you. As an adult in TFC fandom, I have only seen five other adults (minus Neko and Darth since they work on it) in this fandom, which is absolutely unfortunate considering this game is 18+ only. It is extremely hard to find adult only fandom spaces where minors are not bragging about being in it.

This honestly pisses me off so much considering TFC team is doing everything they can to make the story beautiful and interesting. TFC has delicate and mature topics no minor should ever see. I feel extremely sorry for the team for having to deal with this.

I absolutely love how Ticket Taker’s tent theme is a mirror maze. Those are my favorite part of circus’s and fairs/carnivals. If there is a mirror maze, I will be there 100%
