Going on, I'm gonna be talking about him specifically in my fic Small Town.
One of the main things about Striker is his need for control. If his victims aren't having the emotions he wants them to have (ex: fear, terror) and instead are holding strong or rebelling against him by using horniness for example, that ticks him off badly. So basically, if the target is feeling happy when he wants them to feel sad, he gets angry because it means he's failing to get control.
He is typically written as sex repulsed, which is fine by me, I'm the type to enjoy most all headcanons and that one makes a lot of sense. The hypersexual head canon comes mostly from myself projecting and partly ties into his need for control. Intrusive thoughts can very easily ruin a good thing. They're stuff you can't control. For an assassin, that's difficult to deal with since you need to be at the top of your game.
In his youth, it would've been an issue for reasons you'll see if I will finally finish writing my fucking chapters AHH--, but as an adult, I doubt he'd see them as intrusive thoughts. That includes dealing with Striker and Moxxie's relationship. I will say that Striker takes a lot out on Moxxie. And that they live in a pretty conservative town growing up.
Inserting the hypersexual headcanon was pretty easy with how the story is set up, but uh, it wasn't a fully fleshed out idea when I started talking about it on here. It had a good reception, so I played with the idea for a while. Now that I've talked about it at length again, and it's not 3 am, I see it does still fit to some extent, but I'm still iffy on it.
The main reason I don't want to write it is because it's gross to deal with, and I never really meant for this to get so much traction. It's a personal subject, and while I'm happy everyone seems to be okay with it, I'm still unsure of how much justice I could actually even give it. #anxiety lol
