“The overly confident vampire who wants something in return. Do you honestly think I haven’t met that kind before?” It is her turn to roll her eyes at him now. Not for one minute was she expecting him to go spilling his life story–his hobbies and his favourite food. “I was being sarcastic. You don’t give free information–I don’t. This is going to be such a scintillating conversation.”
A vampire that admits to being a lackey of Marcel…interesting. Did she believe him?–she had no thoughts either way. Instead she looks at him, head tilting on one side as though she is weighing him up. Cora doesn’t have a problem with silences and doesn’t even try and fill the next few seconds. Instead she can’t help but wonder exactly why he is out here.
“Why the hell would you be out here if you weren’t working for him?..so don’t throw questions my way to insinuate I am some dumb pup who doesn’t know what she is on about. Either way I think you a pretty stupid or just far too confident in your ability as a vampire–considering this is werewolf territory.”
She moves around him, but giving him enough distance to not be infiltrating his personal space–far from it actually. It’s more than a wide enough area to not look like she is trying to threaten him.
“I really wouldn’t put it past Marcel to have vampires sent out this way to check things out and maybe gain a little info–so that isn’t so unbelievable.”
There are certain parts when Damon speaks, which Cora picks up as a little patronising and she isn’t sure yet whether he is purposely doing it, or she is reading into something that isn’t there. Either way she is pretty sure she will find out at some point.
“There’s a difference between not getting dirty unless you have to and being so up yourself that you can’t bear the thought of a little harmless dirt spoiling your boots..but yeah..I forgot…most vampires are vain.”
The young wolf is trying him, simply because she hasn’t really come across any vampires yet who haven’t looked down their nose at her, apart from Klaus– of all the ones she actually expected to.
She has shoot him an indignant look at his next words though. “You really think that about packs?—clearly naive words spoken for a vampire who knows nothing of what it is like to be a werewolf.” There are benefits with a pack–having an alpha. Each wolfs strength is only magnified when in a pack and they are much weaker as a lone wolf. Cora knew this from an early age, which is why when her family burnt along with her family home—she fled and turned up half dead from exhaustion to the crescent wolves. “…but by all means continue to believe what you think.”
His scoff is enough to get Cora’s back up slightly. Okay, so it doesn’t always take much, she has quite the temper when she really blows–but she is trying not to so just throws a scoff back at him. “I don’t need ‘wolfie lessons’ I know how to look after myself.” Shaking her head, the young Hale has to look at him with an expression of disbelief. “I think you believe your own bullshit, Damon. It doesn’t have to be a full moon to have a pack rip out your heart right now and leave it to wither and dry up on the ground–or maybe let some animal devour it. One on one–yes, with no full moon you are stronger– but don’t underestimate a pack…and also…don’t put yourself on a such a pedestal that you think you can never be knocked off of it–just some friendly advice from a young clueless pup.”
After she has shaken his hand–very briefly it should be added, Cora crosses her arms. “You know what…if you were here to be civil and perhaps on friendly terms…you Damon need to work on your communication skills a little more.”
