Since we are getting a LN for prideif i hope that this time pride would have all the authorities instead of not getting them for some reason so i wanted to share my ideas for his authorities
Invisible Providence-sloth is weird this is probably the one witch factor that wouldn't change outside of melancholy and vanglory altogethe it might be stronger due to Subaru being more slothful running away from his flaws mayhe being able to use it like Betelgeuse did or at least having his one hand have more range more power and less of a strain on him
𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗱 "𝗘𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗱"-endless greed for endless power pride wishes he had
this authority is kind of the reverse of cor leonis instead of identifying allies and allowing Subaru to share in their burdens endless greed latchs onto enemies and robs them of their strength draining them of their mana effectively allowing Subaru to always be at top of his game when it comes to how much mana he has for magic with his fire spirit and allowing him to cast the highest tier of magic as casually as a basic goa while also making him more effective against mages since every spell they cast only makes them weaker while he gains more mana
𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲 "𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿"-an abundance of pride and self belief can you make rather convincing
The authority of prideful Preacher is a mental authority based in speech that makes Subaru words more believable and compelles anyone who hears him to believe his words being more effective the more he believes in his own words
So for example if Subaru were to walk up to a group of knights activate his authority and tell them they might as well commit s*icide since he is going to win no matter what they do since in Subaru mind it's true he is will kill them whether it takes him 20 deaths or 20,000 thanks to return by death the knights would be instantly overcome by despair and end their own lives
However the since the effectiveness of the authority is entirely dependent on how much Subaru believes in his own words having even an inkling of doubt in his own claims would allow other people to doubt them allowing strong minded people to resist the effect making the manipulation less effective or completely nullifying it
And of course if Subaru doesn't believe his own words at all the authority might as well do nothing so he can't just tell reinhard that he might as well end himself since he will win no matter what because subaru himself knows that's a lie
𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝘂𝘀𝘁 "𝗹𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿"-subaru lusts for the power other people have even the people he hates most
This authority is transformation based like capllea although it cannot change other people
The authority of lust for hated power allows Subaru to transform into people he is close to and how effective of a copy it is depends entirely on how much he resents the person for their strength
The more resentful the more hateful he is of the person the more effective he'd be at copying their apprences and strength
So if he used it to become Elsa he'd be a damn near perfect copy slight imperfections would be present but so minor no one but the original elsa and meli would be able to notice and he'd be nearly as strong as she is
He is also only able to copy people natural strength he cannot copy things that come from outside influences it has to be powers that are built into the body
For example if he becomes Elsa he'd have her curse doll regeneration since the curse is a part of her body but if he becomes meli he wouldn't gain the divine protection of witch beast manipulation since that power comes from od laguna not meli herself becoming meli wouldn't cause od Laguna to duplicate the divine protection and give it to him
He also cannot obtain authorities from becoming other archbishops since authorities are more tied to the soul not the body so even if he becomes regulus since his soul isn't regulus he wouldn't gain lion king
All of this makes this a great power for both combat and infiltration either transforming into a less suspicious form like meli to sneak around as an odd looking but not really suspicious little girl or curving his way trough the enemy as elsa however there is one last draw back
He doesn't obtain the skills of the person he turns into so even if he transfoms into elsa he doesnt know how to use her body he cannot fight at the same level of skill she does
This also plays into this authority ultimate trump card by becoming the man subaru hates most in the pride if
Reinhard van astrea
By becoming Reinhard Subaru gains immense strength way more then any other form however since he lacks Reinhard talent for controlling the flow method he cannot get even half of reinhard strength when using his body and his body quickly starts breaking down from the mana overflow since he cannot control all that power making it so he can only use Reinhard form for a minute maybe two before being in it becomes fatal to him forcing a reset via RBD
𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗵 "𝘄𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻"-the fires of wrath spread like wild fire if one isn't careful
This authority is rather similar to Sirius soul washing in its effect the method and results however differ slightly
This authority allows Subaru to project his wrath into other people making them angrier and he can spam it causing the anger to stack quickly causing even the calmest individuals to completely lose themselves in fury
Unlike Sirius he also doesn't need to be heard or seen by the target for it to work he just needs to be able to see them but he also can't project fear sadness or anything like that it's only rage
he can also only use this authority on one person at the time and he doesn't have the chain effect Sirius does causing anyone nearby to experience whatever happens to the afflicted person if the target dies they die that's it
This power is good for sowing chaos in area as he can just look at a knight down the street and cause him to start indiscriminately killing people in a fit of rage without anyone being able to tell he is involved or when faced with a group of enemies he can pair it with some manipulation to cause them all to start turning on eachother
𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗴𝗹𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗻𝗲𝘆 "𝗳𝗼𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀"-memories fade over time lost to a fog this authority just speeds it up
This authority allows Subaru to emit mist like the white whale that causes anyone caught in it to forget what they were just doing
So for example if he gets attacked by a knight sent to deal with him and uses it the knight is gonna forget who he is giving Subaru a chance to either leave or attack while the knight is confused
However unlike with the whale and gluttney the eraser is not through the knight would forget who Subaru is but he would remember he was sent to eliminate a witch cultist
So if he sees Subaru in his cult uniform he'd immediately identify him as the witch cultist he was sent to kill and attack again
Making this authority good for quick getaways out of trouble or sneak attacks if he is careful about how he applys it
𝗩𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝘆-nothing catchy to say about those two since they would Likey manifest the same way they did for pandora and petra also who knows if he'd get those since pandora is an expert in hide and seek and melancholy isn't owned by the cult
