"Pelican Time" was an illo. created for My OC Essay found in Orange Coast Magazine about the value of time.
"Edison" is an illustration we had fun constructing for Gulfshore Life Magazine's December issue.
The story stated that Thomas Edison, who patented his improved version of the Victrola, was actually deaf in his later years, but could "hear" the sound of a piano being played by biting down on the piano and feeling the vibrations of the strings which were transferred from his teeth to his inner ear.
A few process shots and the final from an illo we recently completed for Seattle University Magazine spotlighting a new course " What Makes A City Work".

3x3’s international panel of judges have chosen the poster to be included in the 3x3 Annual No. 10.

Illustration commissioned by Gulfshore Life Magazine promoting their brand new pro soccer team "Adrenaline"
Here is one of the latest illos from Pushart commissioned by Gulfshore Life magazine for the "Here & Now" column. This month's story talked about a crazy canoe race (this years theme being SNL), the anniversary of a local brewery and an 18' pink christmas tree thrown in for good measure.
Me & My Monkey chosen to be a featured illo this week on The Creative Finder.
The above pictures include a few process shots from "Signs of Life" which Pushart recently created for Orange Coast Magazine. The story was about how nature and wildlife co-exist with civilization in Orange County, CA. The mountains were created out of paste-papers and the buildings are painted with acrylic-gouache. Many Thanks to O.C. Magazine for the commission!
Who We Are
Pushart’s illustrations are three-dimensional tabletop sets, which are built with an eclectic array of photo’s, handmade elements, and found objects bit-by-bit and piece-by-piece. It is pushart’s own completely unique blend of hand drawn illustration, photography, digital imaging and installation art. If an element Pushart needs doesn’t exist, it is fabricated. Each completed set is carefully lit and photographed. The shadows that give the images such depth come directly from the lighting of the set. Megan Berkheiser and partner, Mike Caldwell, along with their four cats, collaborate to create three-dimensional conceptual assemblage style illustrations for the editorial, advertising and book markets.
