2 Sides Of The Road

Every day I pass across a temple. Every day the temple is visited by numerous devotees. Everyone brings flowers and offerings. Every day the temple receives a lot of donations. People bestowed their faith in God. In front of the temple, there are a few beggars, waiting for the people to pass the leftover of gods to them. But, on the other side of the road a primary school, a government primary school. With regular visitor of few students and even fewer teachers. The kids come mostly to have a mid-day meal and gain knowledge, secondarily. Their parents had less faith in them, the society had less faith in the government system but the teachers had some faith in them. But, unlike the other side of road, this side has no beggar.

You are in a dream.

You are in a dream, a lucid dream. You think you have control over things, but do you? You leave your home at the same time, take the same local, go on the same route, meet the same people, do the same job, return on the same local, EVERY DAY, again and again, EVERY DAY.

You think you have control over things, but do you? You are bound. By the circumstance, by the people, by the work, by the emotions, by your thoughts, by the words in your dictionary. You are BOUND.

And when you wake up, you forget most of it. Only a part of it may be left over. You may try to recall it, but you can't. And the ones that you remember, may haunt you. You may try not sleeping, but can you?

How are my thoughts?

Sometimes they are like the branches of the trees, intertwined amongst themselves, sometimes bearing fruits, sometimes dry.

Sometimes they are like the clouds, taking random shapes, sometimes making sense, sometimes not

Sometimes they are like the water in the river, sometimes agitated by the obstacles, sometimes calm as the horizon

Sometimes they are like the fire, sometimes destructing everything, sometimes as guiding light in the dark

And sometimes they are like the air, sometimes their presence is not felt but sometimes they move gently like a breeze making things a little better
