Homeless mother needs your help!

Wind just moved to Colorado from Alabama after leaving her boyfriend. Her and her 6-year-old son were originally staying with a family member, but that quickly turned dangerous and abusive. They slept in our bed (in our bus) last night. While I don’t have a problem with the floor, I don’t think our school bus is the best place for a little boy to live. He asked to stay with us last night, so at least he feels safe.

Wind is so ready to get on with her life and get her little boy into their own apartment. Roy and I will help her get in touch with Colorado human services and the food bank and such on Monday and in the mean time, it would be really cool if they could stay in a motel room.

These are two really wonderful people that shouldn’t be in this situation.

If you can send anything to her cashapp, it would really help.

After her son woke up, Roy went to work keeping him busy with math, reading, and lots of rough housing.

Later today we’re gonna rearrange the bus a bit so Roy and I have more room on the floor and they can stay with us as long as they want/need to.

All the resource places open tomorrow, so Roy is taking the day off to make sure Wind can get around as much as she needs to.

Why would trafficking increase when you have legalized prostitution.

Because if prostitution is legal, demand increases. And if it is legal, pimps and traffickers have more room to exploit and sell women under the guise of legal sex work.

In fact, in countries where it is legal, pimps and brothel owners are considered sex workers themselves.

Just because you legalize prostitution doesn’t mean women are going to be anymore willing to do it, but more men expect to go to prostitutes, so the demand for prostitution increases. Where do you get prostitutes if women aren’t willing to be them? you kidnap and traffick them!!

it’s worth pointing out that Germany, who’s always touted as very progressive for legalizing prostitution and instituting prostitution unions, has become the human trafficking hub of Europe since those laws were implemented.

In 2009, there were around 900 victims of human trafficking in the Netherlands. In 2017, there were over 6000 and this number is estimated to fall prey to human trafficking every year. Over 4000 are sex slaves and over 1000 are children. This is getting progressively worse. I honestly cannot believe people aren’t educated that this legalization adds to an increase in human trafficking. Isn’t it obvious that’s how the world works? Also, men don’t care. I remember a post over here with men that were going to prostituted children and one of them was saying “I don’t care to know how the sausage is made”. That should tell you everything you need to know if you’re still having doubts about which side of the barricade you should choose.

Her mother Cheryl, 66, remains behind, a diminutive woman with dark hair pulled up in a bun. She chooses her words carefully. “It’s never left her. Every day, she lives it,” she says. “There were times when she would call me and his – he would be on a billboard or whatever, and she would just completely disintegrate. Having to walk into a store to get a pint of milk, and you’ve got his picture everywhere. (…) He’s the soccer god that everybody thinks is just perfect and flawless. I know this is scooting very close to the “omg why is no one reblogging this” territory, but the fact how little waves this is making in the football fandom is honestly terrifying to me.

People here make social justice issues out of every single thing, from bad interview quotes to that time someone thought Pulisic was dating a Trump supporter (he wasn’t) to “is it racist to say you don’t want your club to promote inhumane regimes overseas?”

But now one of if not the most famous player of this sport gets accused of rape and there is almost nothing. This story has been out for days. It’s not some vague, easily dismissed “he said she said” situation.

One of the leading investigative newspapers of Europe has published an article making very credible claims that accuse him of rape. At least 20 people were involved with the fact-checking over multiple weeks, according to Spiegel. The victim herself and multiple family members are quoted verbatim, Her story matches the results of a rape kit taken at the time (which is quoted in the article) as well as the original police report (which Spiegel also posted), filed one day after the assault, where she accuses a world famous athlete of raping her but doesn’t want to disclose his name because she was scared of the repercussions. Photos exist of her with Ronaldo from the day of the rape. A forensic psychiatrist’s evaluation is quoted that  confirms she suffers from PTSD due to the rape.

Spiegel has, thanks to Football Leaks, papers proving that Ronaldo hired a team of “Reputation Specialists” that followed her and her family around in order to make her appear unstable and to dissuade her from pressing charges. Spiegel also has E-Mails from Ronaldo to his lawyer where freely admits she said “no” and told him to stop multiple times before and during the rape. 

Honestly this is the clearest and best researched rape accusation that I have ever come across. And I see so many fangirls on here keep posting Ronaldo pics and ignoring this because it’s inconvient for them when it’s their fave.
