Also fun fact! The US is no longer a signatory of the International Criminal Court and is not a party of Protocol II or III of the Geneva Convention. Under that basis this and using tear gas on civilians is not a punishable war crime 🙃

This last addition is super important. It's ridiculous how many people in the US don't know that the US has not signed all protocols of the Geneva Convention. Specifically those that forbid war crimes on the own ground of the country. The US has not singned this. Ever. Other countries have.
