There’s a lot of misinformation going around about the Covid-19 vaccines, so now is a good time to bring this back.
Quick science note: of the Covid vaccines currently approved/pending that I’ve seen, none contain live or weakened viruses.
There’s not a whole virus in this particular vaccine; it’s just a little strip of genetic code that cues your body to make one of the identifying proteins of the COVID-19 virus. Your body uses up all these instructions, produces some marker proteins, realizes these proteins are foreign, and produces immunity against them. So whenever a virus that has this spike protein invades, your body already recognizes it and has a defense prepared.
The growing presence of racists in American Pagan communities threatens to tear the faith apart.
This is not news, but it is an important read, especially for people who were previously unaware of the trend of neo-Nazis stealing pagan symbols for their own.
If you are an anti-racist, anti-fascist pagan, keep doing what you are doing, you are keeping the fight alive
If you are an anti-racist, anti-fascist person who is not a pagan, help us spread the word of this, stand in solidarity with us as we kick the fascists out of our communities
If you are a fascist pagan, fuck off, this faith is a peaceful one
No platforms for fascists.
~ Max
…and right here is why you see me starting to wear non-viking garb in the SCA. Because I’m really REALLY white and really REALLY not a racist, and I hate that these people have found their way into my weekend nerdery.
I would posit that if you feel comfortable doing it, and if you feel supported, you should definitely still wear viking garb and not let fascist nazi bastards appropriate it for their own purpose without opposition. 🖤
Please, for the love of fuck, do NOT give up on either your religious paraphernalia *or* your hobbyist Viking swag because of this. Y’know what you ought to do instead? Be vocally and openly anti-racist. Make it known that all this bonehead bullshit is not what we stand for.
And how do you make something known? Well, a man by his speech is known to men.
Make fascists afraid to be vocal. Run them out and counteract their evil with overwhelming good. Make donations to charities that help people of colour under the public name and honour of Odin and Freya and Frigg and Thor. Shout louder than they do. I see a lot of fascism and disgusting vitriol in the comments section on videos from wardruna or heidlung - and something I’d like to do is reupload those videos with the express intent of curating the comments section heavily to keep that shit out. Most accounts won’t do that and they don’t notice how much hate is in their fan base. so I get really angry about these people taking music and culture that is expressly open and for everyone to pollute it in this way. If you know anyone personally that uploads videos to YouTube please remind them to curate that shit, report the bastards. Make statements that it’s not okay. Even one small platform is too one too many.
@dovewithscales
This witch curses fascists. I will not stand idly by while fascists, nazis, and bigots are, well, alive.
They are not welcomed in my church, my religion, my country, or my planet. All fascists should live in fear.
Reblog to send another fascist crawling back into the cesspool they came from.
i made a meme for class and no one laughed :-(
I’m glad that almost 70,000 people laughed at your joke to make up for that.
wHY DOES THIS HAVE JUST 308 NOTES???? THE ENTIRE WORLD SHOULD BE SHARING THIS. CHINA IS LITERALLY COMMITTING THE HOLOCAUST, ONLY THIS TIME ON MUSLIMS AND Y’ALL ARE SILENT?
i have 495 people following me right now, including several mutuals. i better see y’all reblogging.
People might not be reblogging this because the first tweet makes unnecessary (and untrue) Holocaust comparisons. Taken from @nat_slay on Twitter (I don’t know the original source):
The “ways to help” info seems good afaik but feel free to correct me if I’m wrong there too.
As a Jewish person, I appreciate those saying that this is not okay and that it is misinformation. No, 6 million Uyghur Muslims have not been murdered.
And, as a Jewish person, I know that 6 million very well could be murdered. This is not another Shoah, but it very well could become another. As a Jewish person, I feel we must say “never again.”
Never again.
“Never again” does not mean “this event was so uniquely horrible, it could never happen again.” It means “this event was horrible, but not unique. We have to make sure it never happens again.”
Never again.
The Uyghur death count isn’t 6 million, that is misinformation. But “never again” means we have to make sure it doesn’t become 6 million.
If you are not Jewish or Romani, do not draw comparisons to the Holocaust. All that provides is shock value and misinformation. What you can do is support Uyghur Muslims.

God okay so I’m going to say this now; PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not risk your health or anyone’s in the form of getting a “cheap” binder of ebay or where ever. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE save your $4-$10 dollars for those cheap ebay ones and put it towards a gc2b binder. Or if you want an Underworks go for that but I highly suggest gc2b. They’re about $40 (with shipping) and will last you WAY longer than any cheap ebay one. They are MEANT for lasting you. I wash mine many times week, wear it daily, Wear them daily. I have two. Had them for almost a year now. But I cannot urge you enough to PLEASE save up your pennies for a PROPER SAFE binder. Binders you can breathe in, binders you can move in, binders that don’t crush your ribs, binders that are comfortable, binders that are safe.
This isn’t a safe binder:
It uses clasps and not compression.
This is a c2b binder; made by trans people for trans people:
These binders have no clasps but uses spandex to compress you safety.
Measure your chest before ordering to make sure you don’t get one too small or too large.

Used Binders
If you can’t afford a binder, don’t despair! Used binders are often passed on by post-op trans men or those whose binders may no longer fit. There are a few programs available that help distribute donated second-hand binders:
In A Bind – Started in 2012, to date In a Bind has provided safe compression garments to over 1500 youth in need. Trans* masculine and genderqueer youth living anywhere in the USA can apply to receive a free binder. In a Bind depends on donations. Recently had top surgery? Go up or down a size? Find a style that works better for you? Donate those binders you’re no longer using!
Black Trans Advocacy FTM Binder Grant
MORF Binder Exchange – Since February 2011, MORF has been providing free binders to trans* masculine people in the UK and around the world. The free scheme (all you pay is the postage) has so far redistributed hundreds of binders. In 2014 alone, over 280 binders were sent out.
FTME Free Youth Binder Program – Age 24 and under only; USA only.
Replace the Ace – USA only
Big Brothers Used Binder Program – Donation required
Mazzoni Center’s Binder Recycling Program – Only for youth enrolled in P.A.C.T.S., Philadelphia.
Point 5cc Tshirt Company – Free binder with purchase of t-shirt
Come As You Are’s Binder Bucks Recycling Program – Canada only
Qmunity Binder Exchange – BC, Canada only.
Trans Fellas
Northern Ireland Binder Scheme – Age 25 and under, N. Ireland only.
You can also try asking around for an inexpensive hand-me-down binder on one of themailing lists for trans guys or check out LiveJournal’s FTM Garage Sale and the FtM Sales, Swap, and Support group on Facebook.
How to Choose a Chest Binder
If you still remember your old bra size, you can find out your binder size by using theBra to Chest Size Converter Tool. If you don’t know your old bra size, you can measure yourself the old-fashioned way:
Take a snug measurement of the fullest part of your chest using a tape measure (best if measured while clothed) and write that number down onto a sheet of paper.
Measure underneath your chest where the crease is and write that number down as well.
Add those numbers together and divide the sum by 2. This number will differentiate your size not only from brand to brand but from binder to binder as well.
Selecting a binder brand and style can be difficult: there are so many options that it can be overwhelming! Plus, there aren’t very many reviews of binders other than those about Underworks’ and T-Kingdom’s more popular models. After buying your binder, help make the experience easier for guys in the future by contributing your review to one of the review sites listed below.
Essentially, there are two types of binders: short ones and long ones. The short ones end right at your waist. The down side of these is that if you carry some extra weight, short binders tend to roll up and act more like a bra. The long ones can be pulled down past your waist by several inches, however it’s inevitable that it will still roll up. To reduce the chances of this, wear a belt. Choosing between a short and long binder has more to do with your body type, specifically your abdomen, and not your chest size.
Lastly, consider the location of the company you’re buying from. Buying from a company that’s closer to you can save you a significant amount of money on shipping costs.
How to Put On a Chest Binder
It might seem silly, but you’re probably going to need some help figuring out how to put on your new binder, particularly if you purchased one of the longer styles.
Put your binder inside out and upside down.
Step into your binder and pull the bottom of it up, ideally to your belt line. The binder should still be inside out and upside down.
Use the sleeves as handles to pull the top of the binder (the end closer to your feet) up to your shoulders.
Put your arms through the sleeve holes and adjust your chest to your needs. You may need to pull the bottom of the binder out from underneath itself if you don’t want it folded under. For others, leaving it folded under may help stop the binder from rolling up.
Don’t be disappointed if you look in the mirror and it looks like you have one big boob in the middle of your chest. You just need to adjust your chest. Reach in from the neck hole and push your chesticles down and out. You’re basically pushing your nipple toward your armpit to achieve the flattest looking chest possible.
FTM Chest Binding Tips
Very important: When binding, you should not by any means feel as though you can’t breathe or like you’re going to pass out from a lack of oxygen.
Binders aren’t the most comfortable things in the world. To make binding more comfortable, and to reduce the possibility of the binder moving around a bit, some guys wear a light shirt underneath.
Depending on the size of your chest, you may need to layer clothing on top of the binder to get optimal chest flattening. You’ll find that some of the shirts in your closet require you to layer more than shirts in your wardrobe.
You can swim in your binder. Just wear a sleeveless or sleeved T-shirt over it. Don’t worry if your binder seems less effective after a swim, this isn’t permanent. Simply wash it and it will go back to normal.
Your chest will look bigger than it really is when you look down at it. Check in the mirror for a more accurate side view.
Not all binders breathe well, and the reality is that you’re probably going to get hot. If you’ve already started testosterone, you’re definitely going to sweat. The build up of sweat can irritate your skin causing rashes and sores. Wearing a thin cotton shirt that breathes well underneath your binder may help prevent this. If you find this uncomfortable, try applying corn starch to your body before putting on your binder to help keep it from holding in moisture. If you’ve already experienced skin irritation of some sort, take care of it the same way you would an open wound. Washing the irritated area with anti-bacterial soap will keep it clean and help it heal faster.
Conclusion
Chest binding, as cumbersome as it may seem, can be very freeing for transgender men. There’s a plethora of quality FTM chest binding products available for body types of all shapes and sizes. Regardless of what you use for binding, please remember to put your health first. Now that you’re armed with all the information you need to find the right binder for you, go forth and feel more comfortable in your skin!

Reminder that it really doesn’t matter what ways you’re marginalized, if you’re not black you’re just as capable of anti blackness as white cishet people. No amount of “but I’m gay!”, “but I’m trans!”, or “but I’m not white!” changes that.
And being neurodiverse/disabled isn’t an excuse for anti blackness either.
Don’t like this post if you’re not gonna also reblog it.
Boost my voice, don’t just like it for woke points.
I’d fucking love it if white people didn’t use this post to pat themselves on the back. I guarantee that no amount of “don’t people know this already?” or “isn’t this obvious?” will actually make you a good ally to black people.
The only things that will make you a good ally to us is listening to us, boosting our voices, defending us when we need it, calling out your fellow whites when they display overt and/or covert racist behavior, and checking yourself consistently.
my favourite thing about this post is all the non-black people going “and the same goes to black people being xenophobic/prejudiced/etc to (marginalised group)” like thanks for completely deflecting the main issue and proving that you really do hate black people lmao
Happy Kwanzaa Everyone♥️💚🖤✊🏾
Habari Gani?
Kwanzaa is a celebration that honors African heritage in African-American culture and is observed from December 26 to January 1, culminating in a feast and gift-giving. Kwanzaa has seven core principles (Nguzo Saba) and was created by Maulana Karenga and was first celebrated in 1966–67.

Can’t believe Jane Austen wrote Pride and Prejudice in the 2000s
And in 2015 Emily Brontë released literary clsssic Wuthering Heights
Thank God someone paved the way for them…
if you think jk was the first woman author, you don’t actually care about women authors.
Mary Shelley didnt fuck on her parents graves for this level of disrespect
Murasaki Shikibu didn’t invent the novel for this.
Christine de Pizan did not sit down at her desk and write The Book of the City of Ladies, advocating for women’s education and finding value in women of all social classes and backgrounds, in 1405 for this.
🎶SHAHARIZADE HAD A THOUSAND TALES🎶
This……….isn’t even true in 20th century fantasy or childrens books? Pierce, Lackey, Applegate, McCaffrey, Bradley, Butler, whomst?
Casual reminder that
a woman was the first known author/poet in 2300BC - Enheduanna
the first novel in recorded history was written by a woman in 1010AD - Murasaki Shikibu
the earliest example of science fiction was written by a woman in 1666 - Margaret Cavendish
horror science fiction was popularised by a teenage girl in 1818 - Mary Shelley
a Scotswoman expanded childrens’ stories from moralising tales into anarchic adventures in the mid 1800s, well before it became popular in the early 20th century - Catherine Sinclair
the masked/costumed hero archetype that inspired Batman and Zorro was created by a woman in 1905 - Baroness Emma Orczy
And while she is problematic as all get out, we all know who is to blame for popularising Boarding School fiction (which is a huge inspiration of She Who Must Not Be Named) from the 1930s onwards - Enid Blyton
And do I even need to mention what a badass pioneer Ursula Le Guin was for women author in the fantasy/sci-fi genre?
Not to mention Agatha Christie is literally second only to Shakespeare in terms of works sold – 4 billion compared to JKR’s paltry 500 million

Jesus fucking Christ, look at these young, otherwise healthy people who had severe heart complications from COVID. But people still don’t give a shit, people are still going to parties and holidays because they think nothing bad will happen to them because they’re young.
God, please stay inside if you can until the vaccine is available to you.
Americans don’t care. They want to stunt, party, be seen, and act like this shit hits only poor people or old people. Everyone can catch hands with this thing….but. again, Americans don’t care.
I’m sorry if this comes off as combative, but: if your government gave you next to no financial relief, did not mandate masks, allowed bars and retail businesses to stay open, re-opened university campuses, and then told you “you MUST go to work and school and interact with hundreds of strangers, but you’re a terrible person if you go visit grandma or get together for drinks with friends after your shift or have Christmas dinner”, what exactly would YOU do?
You can say “if people really cared about each other, they would stay home no matter what the government does” all you like, but that doesn’t change the fact that this simply isn’t how behaviour modification at a population-wide scale works. Guilt and punishment does not change behaviour, providing resources and boundaries that encourage and reward the correct behaviour does.
Why should people take the pandemic seriously when every single signal being sent from the places of power that guide their lives says that this just isn’t worth giving a shit about? When you aren’t given the chance to make better choices, because you can’t financially afford to?
Blaming individual people for being “stupid” and “careless” lets the American federal and state governments (as well as other powerful institutions) off the hook for their egregious, cruel, careless policy approaches to this situation, which have left people to fend for themselves and try to make decisions under the most duress they’ve ever experienced in their lives.
The first girl caught COVID while living in a multi-roommate apartment at university (her roommates later also tested positive, which is unsurprising if you’re ever seen student housing) — then she self-quarantined, tried to recover, and ONLY travelled home to visit her family after she had started testing negative again (her family did not get sick). What could she have done better? Magically been able to afford a single apartment?
The young man who died, Jaquan Anderson, his mother was a healthcare worker, but he was living with other relatives to make sure he wouldn’t be in contact with her while attending school, and then he still he got sick. What could he have done better, exactly? Does it sound like he didn’t care?
Most of the articles on the other student athletes mention that members of their teams also tested positive — does that sound like it’s on them individually, or like it could be a sign of a serious problem in the prevention protocols being used for university sports? What would have been the “responsible” choice for them? To refuse to play the sport that they probably rely on to cover their tuition via scholarships? What better choices could they have made, within the situations these institutions set up for them?
These people ARE trying. Most Americans ARE trying. They ARE doing the best they can in their situations, with limited power and a lot of stress.
We need to stop asking why people won’t just “smarten up” and be responsible, and start asking why the government is abdicating its responsibility for public health in this crisis onto the shoulders of random young people.
5 Stretches to Relieve Neck and Shoulder Tension
Since I was sitting all day at my last job in an office I got a stiff shoulder a lot. I can only recomend doing this and similiar stuff on a daily basis because it works really well. Best thing is it doesn’t take much time and you can do it everywhere. Did it in my classes all the time a boring subject came up..
“Taika Waititi has set another series at FX.
The prolific filmmaker, who already has “What We Do in the Shadows” heading into a third season at the network, is teaming with Native American writer and director Sterlin Harjo for half-hour comedy “Reservation Dogs.”
“Reservation Dogs,” which has been handed a series order by FX, follows four Native teenagers in rural Oklahoma who spend their days committing crime and fighting it.
“Reservation Dogs” stars D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, Devery Jacobs, Paulina Alexis and Lane Factor (pictured above) as the aforementioned teens. The pilot episode also features guest stars Tamara Podemski, Zahn McClarnon, Macon Blair, Kirk Fox, Matty Cardarople, Dallas Goldtooth, Lil Mike and Funny Bone.” (source)
No, but seriously. If whenever you get up from wherever you start to feel faint, get palpitations, get numb, get nauseous, get light-headed and/or literally feel your blood drop to your feet, check the symptoms of Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome.
Also add more salt to your diet lol. With or without the POTS unless you have hypertension in which case I’d be more cautious.
Actually, it’s not just that you can reblog this. I want people to reblog this.
My poor mom went by years without knowing why the fuck she was having all these debilitating symptoms.
All it took was me making her add some more salt to her diet and have an isotonic drink daily and she IMMEDIATELY (as in, less than an hour) stopped feeling faint whenever she got up from kneeling down and her hair is slowly falling off less and less.
She used to need at least 5 minutes to recover from kneeling down and now she kneels down and stands up like it’s nothing. Even her joint pain from EDS and brain fog have improved tremendously and she has much more energy.
It’s not normal to always get dizzy when you kneel down and then get up, or when you get up from bed or a chair.
It’s not normal for any of that to make you light-headed or nauseous, or get blurry vision, headaches or palpitations.
It’s not normal for your body to suck at regulating its temperature and for your heart rate to go insane if you’re just mildly stressed.
It’s not normal to want to be active and “productive” but be unable to get your body to do anything so you just lay there, or if you manage to get anything done, you’ll need a whole week to recover.
It’s not normal to be tremendously tired all the time no matter how much you rest and sleep, even if people think you’re just “lazy”.
I’m pointing all these things out as abnormal because chronically ill people tend to not realize that our symptoms are symptoms.
Our individual bodies are the only bodies we’ve experienced and since most of us don’t look any different from others and aren’t taken seriously when we complain of any ailment, we assume our symptoms happen to everyone. They do not.
People with no physical conditions (at least not impairing ones such as being a bit short-sighted) do not have their bodies make life difficult for them, unless they’re temporarily ill. But we are ill ALL the time.
Take yourself seriously. Doctors and healthy people already don’t, so if you don’t take yourself seriously, who will?
If your body is making life difficult for you, there’s probably something going on with it, and if it persists and nothing makes it go away, it may be a chronic illness.
POTS can develop in previous healthy people after a Covid infection. If you have had Covid recently or know someone who has, please keep this in mind.
Some of these symptoms (mainly the fatigue/need to recover after non-strenuous activity/difficulty maintaining consistent body temp) also overlap with ME/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/post viral syndrome, which can also develop after a viral infection such as covid-19.
