This is for an AU about Clive getting a little less traumatized. More below

This is an AU about Clive Dove from Professor Layton, specifically about him if he never finished his plan of Future London. While plotting and without guidance from Dimitri or his foster family, Clive spiraled down a path of hatred and revenge. One late night he came across an odd man that would change his life forever.

It was Desmond Sycamore, retired as Descole for the meantime. Clive tried to talk his way out of the awkward conversation they found themselves in and offered to interview Desmond for the News Paper he worked at. This became a slow back and forth and soon Desmond realized that a lot of things were wrong with this young man he met. In a way he reminded him of himself and so Desmond made it his responsibility to help Clive.

Together they stop Dimitri's plans and Future London is never fully finished or exploded, however it very much is stopped all together and the people living there are made to leave. After everything that happened, Desmond adopted Clive as his own and allowed for Cogg and Spring to join and live with him and Raymond in their mansion.

Clive looks different in this AU, not only bc he is living with Desmond and working as a librarian but because I changed a few details about the explosion. Instead of coming too late and watching everything burn, Clive managed to enter the building's lowest floor. Because of that, he suffered severe hearing loss as well as obtain some burn scars and bad eyesight.
