Giselle's traps are actually kind of crazy.
The evil lesbian in Strawberry Panic are all-timers. Somehow the only couple with a healthy relationship.
Sometimes I wish D4DJ had more pull, despite bring a gacha game. The people need to know how, in a roster full of music groups made up of mostly normal Japanese school girls, one of them consists of a girl with no freinds, two lesbians that are dating, and the digitized consciousness of a dead woman moonlighting as and AI vtuber.
It's a shame Yuni and Mihara are trapped in Nikke because if you want to talk about doomed, toxic yuri oh man it doesn't get much more doomed or toxic.
She's got everything a girl needs. Her affection rank. Her battle power. Her c u b e.
Still can't believe that Araki got away with naming a character "Mr. Italian (derogatory)."
current fan creation landscape is kinda like if you went to a party with a homemade cake and everyone takes a slice and silently thumbs up at you with no attempt to start a conversation except for occasionally some guy sits in the corner with a tape recorder critiquing the cake as though he was a restaurant critic and another guy is handing the cake to an uber driver like "yeah i need you to find a restaurant that makes cake like this so i can have more of it" and the only person that's talked to you in 30 minutes is a very sweet little guy who was like "hey i liked your cake" and then ran away apologizing for bothering you the moment you said thank you.
someone brought a cake analysis robot to feed the cake into to determine the exact ingredients and supposedly it can spit out the exact same cake. and if you're like dude. what. then they're like well if it bothers you you should have made more cake. i'm hungry and i deserve cake. and you're like dude we're at a party.
Three months later you find out that fifty people locked themselves in a room to discuss how much they loved your cake and how they wished you made more. None of them ever told you.
so for the love of god. please tell people you liked their cake and don’t feel embarrassed about it. because then they will make more cake.
I adore basically everything about Birdie Wing, but I think my favorite thing is that Aoi and Eve had to golf against someone with straight up magic powers and they were never explained. They just had to out golf timestop.
I've completed my journey into the Nanoha series, and overall it was a pretty good. 1st and As movies were both solid. StrikerS is easily head and shoulders the high point, even if it gets off to a bit of a lumbering start.
I like the idea of Vivid, but unfortunately I think it just sucks. The cast is far too bloated and it wastes too much time on fights between characters that don't matter. The only real enjoyable parts I found were the snippets of domestic Nanoha. She's earned a quiet life and it's cathartic getting to see her enjoy it.
I'm not going to watch Vivid Strike. There's apparently going to be a new Nanoha series in the relatively near future that seems to take place earlier in the time line. I'm curious to see what that ends up being. Ideally, I'd like it to cover The Injury.
As far as tragic backstory flashbacks go, this is of the most well executed ones I've ever seen in an anime. In about 10 seconds and with no dialogue, you get a full understanding of this character, his past, and why he feels the way he does.
That being said, I was not prepared for that kid to get straight up shot in the face.
The few times the series ties to "no homo" these two are super funny because it doesn't feel so much like they are trying to maintain any degree of plausible deniability so much as it feels like there are rouge elements on the production team sending out coded messages like Cold War spies behind enemy lines.
From the outside, having never watched it, I always thought of the Nanoha series as the series with lesbians that adopt a kid.
Which isn't wrong, but having watched some of it now, the Nanoha series is really defined by child torture.
Like, not metaphorically, there are multiple instances of small children being literally tortured on screen.
I feel like there's something that could be said about how the rise in popularity of "analog horror" coincides with the rise of conspiracism in the main stream.
Hey I’m getting a BBL next week can I put you as my emergency contact
yeah, but if they call I'm just going to shout I DON'T CARE IF IT KILLS THEM, MAKE IT BIGGER over and over again
The most remarkable thing about Otherside Picnic's writing is its ability to make me understand, deeply, the feeling of being a snail crawling through salt.
You know, after a re-watch, I think Mai-HiME actually kind of fucking rules. Truly one of the anime of all time.
