“This book was as suspenseful as emotional. It showed the destructive war from the eyes of an average kid. The war depicted how challenging it became to survive on a daily basis. Despite the devastation of the war, the book walked through the strength and determination everyone had to overcome the war and live happily. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a book with drama, suspense, and a powerful lesson at the end.” -- Sanjna

“This book is great for anyone who loves fantasy and the paranormal. However, the book does contain some terminology and a form of our society that takes some getting used to. Despite the cover, the book itself is not horror, has a happy ending, and is a soft quick read.
