How is it that every time I’m determined to get on, I log in and immediately see callout posts and other crap going on?

Sure, she could have easily gotten a pet if she had been that lonely, but it would have been irresponsible for her to do that when she had no time to care for one. Not only that, it was too difficult to share a residence with someone she wasn’t totally familiar with. This was perfect.
“Buuut… we’ll have to split some of the chores at least. Hope you’re good with cleaning~” And now she was grinning.
Cue the sudden burst of laughter from the huntress then, as she had honestly expected there to be some kind of catch to being able to shack up with her long time friend. "I suppose it's your lucky day then, missy." Fang said, grinning as much as Sora was. "I happen to enjoy cleanin', so that won't be a problem at all." Not that she had been planning not to contribute to the living situation, she just found it amusing the other woman beat her to the punch.

“ i dunno, fang – this thing is SUPER hot, and still no CRACKS. ” rikku’s still running her hand under cold water to soothe the little burn she got when it started to glow orange. like she couldn’t touch it? “ … y’don’t think it’s gonna melt the counter-top do ya’? oh ! ” and on cue, suddenly it was shaking a little, a tiny cracking sound as a crevice starts its way slowly up the base of the egg. the blonde races closer to watch. “ i still haven’t come up with a name ! you can’t hatch yet ! ”
"Well you better start thinkin' of one fast, missy— I don't think it's goin' to wait!" Fang huffed tiredly, while shoving things further down the counter, or even just on the floor at this point. She already knew there was no saving the counter-top, the scorch marks alone would never come out... so if it did melt, well... that'd be the least of her problems considering what was causing it.
