What has surprised you about working with Mason Studio?
I think that is the people. I have a chance to meet nice and talented people. I learned lots from them. I received lots of help from Ryan and Nina, learn technical side from Jacky, and learn design from Jeremy.
Is there an accomplishment, achievement or contribution you're particularly proud of since joining Mason?
On the first day at Mason, Joy introduced me to the TAS 2 Tecumseth, at that time I really didn’t know what I can do to contribute to that project. But now, I can walk on that building in my mind to any public space of that building. Beside that, I created a map for all details which I drew so that I can apply it for coming next projects.
Has there been a disappointment or letdown that you've experienced since joining Mason?
A few times I get stuck when I don’t know what I can do next because the project on hold or waiting for feedback from clients. Or some projects I am working on, and it has the same deadline. I got tired because I must work late, day to day.
In what areas do you feel that you are contributing to your fullest capability?
I feel more about the design. I am very excited when I work on the design along with Jeremy. From sketching the plan to finishing renderings, I am surprised at what we come up with it.
In what areas do you want to take more ownership of or learn more about?
I would love to learn more about project management. I am happy to have more chance working coordination with other participants to learn and develop those skills.
Is your role what you thought it would be?
It’s more than what I thought. I can work both technical and design.
How can we help you succeed here?
I think that is an opportunity to attend the meeting with clients and other participants to get feedback, learn how to find solutions to address conflicts in the design and understand progress of a building.
