Curiosity - Samantha + Wonshik
Wonshikâs eyes widened in surprise when instead of being thanked, he received a rather harsh scolding and a furious rant. Speechless, he let the nurse take care of the girl while he tried to think of even how to respond. Of course the scent of blood was stronger in the nurses office, but after being yelled at, he couldnât really bring himself to think about biting anyone let alone her.
He flinched back again when he received her wrath once more after sheâd been patched up. He swallowed thickly and just numbly shook his head, wanting to say that no, no he hadnât even remotely intended to hit her with the ball. He just wasnât the best soccer player.
âI...didnât mean to hit you,â he managed to get out when sheâd stopped yelling. âAnd sorry for dragging you I just wanted to help--â he was being honest, and he did hope she understood that especially since apparently sheâd also been bullied in the past. âI just lost control of the ball. Itâs my fault. I just wanted to make sure you were taken care of,â and he was definitely sorry heâd dragged her so hard. He just needed to get her to medical aid before that blood smell made him want to bite any more than it already had. Speaking of blood, he could still smell it. His eyes darted down to the bandages covering her skin, knowing that beneath it, there was blood. He swallowed thickly before looking back up at her eyes again. âIâm not...I wanted to kick it up the field but it flew badly. Iâm bad at soccer,â he managed to get out, his fangs starting to put pressure on his gums, wanting to come out and bite. âIâm really sorry. I mean it, Iâm really really sorry,â
dancing shoes (&wonshik)
In all honesty, Wonshik couldâve danced forever. He couldâve let the music flow through him for hours without rest. Sometimes, he even forgot to take breaks, especially in an environment like this where ordinary humans could notice his endurance and the fact that he was dancing with just as much energy as he was when he first started. Not to mention he would barely be winded, the sweat glistening on his forehead minimal.Â
He forced himself to take a break after five songs, a laugh forming in his throat as he waved a temporary farewell to the acquaintances heâd made on the dance floor, heading up to the bar to grab a bottle of water. He was distracted, his mind hazy with the thrill of dance. He didnât notice the Jung heir sitting not even three stools away as he ordered a bottle of water, reaching over the counter to take it, twisting open the cap.
He took a long drink of the cold water, wiping the sweat off his forehead as his mind slowly cleared. He caught the scent of something familiar, his head turning on instinct, his gut twisting, eyes widening as he saw the Jung heir. He silently wondered what he did to deserve the opportunity to see royalty not once but twice in such a short amount of time. He couldnât decide whether life hated him or was just giving him bragging rights he would never use.
That was when he realized he was standing barely three paces from the heir. Rooted to the spot, he swallowed thickly, trying not to let the hand holding the bottle of water tremble. It took a lot of effort to swallow his mouthful of water without choking on it, gripping onto the nearby bar stool for support as he wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. His face flushed. âS-Sorry--â he mumbled without thinking, his ears turning red as he looked away, scratching the back of his neck rather aggressively. Ah...great heâd already humiliated himself... Why did the Jung heir have this kind of effect on him?
Weakness - Irene + Wonshik
The pain had lessened significantly thanks to his rescuer. He took the cloth gratefully and wiped as much of the remaining blood off himself as he could before turning his gaze up onto the unconscious hunter. He nodded his head at her words, reaching for the offered hand and pushing himself back to his feet. He grimaced, the wound in his side aching in the most unpleasant manner, but thankfully it didnât reopen.
âThank you,â he said again, following after the vampire as quickly as he could with the pain in his side. He snuck another glance back at the unconscious slayer, a twinge of fear running through him once again as he realized just how close he came to dying today. He moved to catch up the vampire to answer her question.
âI was on my way home from work and I donât know how he knew what I was,â he admitted, a small frown creeping onto his features. âAll I can guess is that heâs been following me around and he saw me go into the Sanguine Corp last week to eat. But even then I have no idea how he couldâve known,â it was a frightening thought, one that made his gut twist with nerves.
âIf it wasnât for you I...I probably wouldâve died so...thank you,â he genuinely felt like he owed something to the vampire - a thank you to prove how grateful he was. But he really couldnât think of anything she could want or need from him. He just hoped the thanks would be enough - Woshik would be thanking her for the rest of his life.
Curiosity - Samantha + Wonshik
Wonshik honestly felt horrible. He was just an empathetic guy like that - if he hurt someone and it was his fault, he wanted to see to it that they got the medical attention they needed and made extra sure they were alright. But more than he felt horrible for hurting her, he felt horrible for the itch in his fangs - the ones that threatened to reveal themselves because the unknown girlâs blood smelled good; better than anything heâd drank from a blood bag.
He tore himself from his thoughts, helping to sort her out before taking her wrist and tugging her up towards the school, trying not to look like he was holding his breath too much - which he was. It wouldnât do to lose control at school, let alone on a girl heâd accidentally wounded.
âIâm really sorry--so sorry,â he managed to get out once they were inside - he couldnât hold his breath forever. I promise I didnât mean to, I just kicked the ball too hard,â he glanced back at her, making sure she was still following alright, though his eyes darted to the bloody tissue and it made him a little heady again. He turned away, glad to have found the nurses office as he gently tugged her inside and explained the situation to the nurse at the desk. Now, hopefully it would be out of his hands and he could hopefully take a rest somewhere where he wasnât getting the urge to bite.Â
Flower Crowns - Areum + Wonshik
Wonshik couldâve laughed when he heard her voice - honestly it had been so long. Why had he ever stopped communicating with her? There was probably some ridiculous reason that was now null and void, if one existed at all.Â
He could still remember the way her hands had easily woven the flower crown before setting it on his head. How embarrassed had he been when sheâd said it actually looked good on him because how could it? Flower crowns looked good on girls - but he kept it on anyway, if only to see her smile. She was a dear friend; someone Wonshik admired greatly. He liked seeing her happy. He tried to make a flower crown as well, but his fingers were too big and not nearly nimble enough to weave the thin stems. His crown simply fell apart, so he decided to just push the flowers into her hair instead.
âIf by âflower boyâ you mean the one you put the flower crown on, then yes,â Wonshik said with a little laugh. âThatâs me. How have you been? Iâm sorry I havenât called, Iâm afraid life caught up to me and distracted me quite a bit. Iâm sorry,â he knew he apologized a lot, usually for things out of his control, but he just needed to be genuine with her.
Awkward Apologies - Hwanhee + Wonshik
@pxahob
One of Wonshikâs worst habits was how spacey he could be. The moment he put in a pair of headphones, the world around him was essentially cancelled out, and he forgot it even existed. The only time he remembered it was still there was when he needed something from it - like his morning coffee. Standing in line, Wonshik puffed his cheeks out idly, letting out quiet sighs as he waited, the scent of coffee and baked goods filling his sensitive nose. Smells like these had taken a long time to get used to, but now Wonshik found he loved the strong scent of coffee.
Finally managing to get up to the counter, he plucked his earphones out and ordered a large black coffee to go, counting out exact change and stepping off to the side once more. He stood against the counter with a single headphone in, now waiting in the line up to receive his order. That was life though, really - waiting, watching and preparing for the day. He sighed a little, pressing the lone earbud a little further into his ear to drown his thoughts out. He closed his eyes as he focused on the beat, listening only for the call of his order.
Finally hearing it, he reached out to pluck the coffee from the hand of the server, wasting little time peeling open the tab so he could take the first sip. He contented himself in the taste that hadnât changed even since becoming a vampire. He still quite regularly enjoyed human foods too, mainly because regular blood feedings were completely unnecessary for him. He was still almost completely human, so he could digest the food just as well as blood.
Lost in his song once again, Wonshik wasnât paying attention when he pulled the door open. He bumped into someone who was shorter than he was, and in his surprise, his coffee slipped slightly - just enough that some of the hot liquid spilled out and splattered all over the shirt of the man heâd bumped into and--Wonshikâs hand. He hissed under his breath, quickly switching hands and wiping the spilled coffee on his pants. His fingers were a little red from the bruise, but he wasnât concerned about that--he was more concerned about the man heâd foolishly walked into.
âIâm so sorry,â Wonshik said quickly, feeling guilty about the mess heâd made of his shirt. He at least needed to atone for this mess up - god, he was such an idiot. âIâll give you my shirt--Iâm on my way to work and Iâll have a uniform so you donât have to worry about it--Iâm so sorry, are you hurt? Did you get burned?â Yes, he was a worry wart, but he had good reasons. He knew first hand that coffee was hot. And heâd gone and spilled it on someone.

Curiosity - Samantha + Wonshik
@pxsamanthaâ
September, 2010
Just over six months had passed since Wonshikâs accident and transformation, and he was just starting his final year of high school. Heâd spent the summer holed up with Yongsu, learning about what he had become after the accident and practicing with his new powers as they gradually developed bit by bit. Six months later, and Wonshik was half of the strength he would become, but now comfortable in his new body. He could finally stop faking injury and move on with his life.
Heâd been nervous about restarting school now that his sense of smell had begun to gain strength. He could smell blood from across a room, and it usually caused a quiet but controllable urge inside him. He wasnât a wild vampire - he just genuinely enjoyed the taste of blood much the same way he used to crave certain foods while he was still human. However, no matter how much he enjoyed the taste of blood, he had never fed straight from a human before. Heâd asked Yongsu about it, but his friend had warned him to take it easy on that for awhile - just take it slow. Stick with blood bags at the Sanguine corp. But Wonshik was still curious, especially since his fangs throbbed every time he tasted blood on his tongue - like they wanted to be buried in hot flesh.
Thankfully, today things were steady. Gym class was outside so he didnât have to worry about being surrounded by the sound of a million heartbeats and the constant swirling scent of humans. He had no idea how Yongsu dealt with it, but perhaps he was just used to it. There was another class - a girls class - using the other half of the field. It was soccer today, and Wonshik was eager to play - maybe too eager. He still hadnât gotten used to his strength, speed and endurance. He actually struggled to keep himself in check, especially when the moments got heated. It was probably why he needed up kicking the ball far too hard so it whipped onto the other side of the field and hit one of his female peers square in the head.
Nice job, Wonshik, he thought to himself with a heavy sigh before he moved towards the injured girl, the slight smell of blood making his head a little fuzzy. âAre you alright?â he asked, reaching for her to help her up. âIâm sorry--I didnât mean to hit you,â he really didnât, and he was honestly really sorry. He looked up at the classmates and offered to take her to the nurse himself.Â
dancing shoes (&wonshik)
It would be a lie if Wonshik hadnât been looking forward to this night all day. Sadly, he had to work the afternoon shift, so he was bound to show up around twenty minutes after the dance had actually gotten started. If it were his choice, he wouldâve come far sooner, but he stayed positive in the fact that he was in fact, coming.
Stepping into the hall where the dance was already underway, Wonshik felt his skin tingle with excitement, his dark eyes lighting up with an eager sparkle. In truth, as much as he loved dancing on stage or on the street corner for tips or in his bedroom, his absolute favourite place to dance was among dozens of other twisting bodies, some good, some horrid, and some on par with his skill (in his opinion). But it didnât matter to Wonshik whether someone was good or not. He would take a dancer with no skill but plenty of passion over a skilled dancer with no passion. Dance was an art, and to him it always would be.
Wonshik had managed to change into casual clothes on his way home from work. Dressed in a loose, white sleeveless covered in illegible graphic designs, tight black jeans, sneakers, and his favourite snapback turned backwards on his head, Wonshik was more than ready for the night. He stepped into the crowd with confidence, immediately falling into the beat of the music, his body coming alive, and his heart singing with each thrum of the bass. The music was in his blood, and it flowed through him like a river, each movement accentuated by the music he loved to dance to. Wonshik could only smile and let himself go.
Headcanon #1
Week #1 / Headcanon #1 - Does your character have a nervous tic, or an annoying habit they canât change?
Whenever Wonshik gets nervous about something, he will scratch or rub the back of his neck. He will also do it when shy or embarrassed, along with the motion of averting his gaze.Â
Set on Fire - Wonshik + Taekwoon
Despite the fact that heâd remained silent on the matter, not asking any more questions and probing deeper into the mystery that was the Jung heirâs mind, Wonshik desperately wanted to. He needed to know how and why heâd known Yongsuâs name and discovered his own when he didnât even wear a name tag. Was it some Jung royal power that he didnât know about? Possibly - the fact that the heir had a power he didnât know of and probably used it on him sent a trickle of icy fear slipping through is veins. He pinned it down, remaining as calm as possible for however long the heir would remain inside the shop.
He looked up at the question, pausing at the casual posture, surprised to find the heir in such a normal, childish position. Wonshik internally shook himself. He was torn between the mystery and the side the heir was showing him right now. On one hand, he was completely intimidating and was somehow able to know things. On the other, he was this youthful personality - Wonshik didnât understand it. Which was the real Jung heir?
Clearing his head by scanning the album, Wonshik took a breath and finally decided to answer the question. âYeah,â he responded. âHeâs my friend,â though internally, Wonshik thought he was more than that. Theyâd met in ninth grade and spent years together despite Wonshik going through a rather unpleasant time in his life...the one where he felt like his life was worthless, because after all, he had nothing to look forward to. His parents had taken dance away from him. He was grateful for Yongsu considering he remained through the thick and thin, and he was glad that heâd passed through that time of grim thoughts. Sure, losing dance had been the literal end of the world to him, but it had helped him grow despite the fact that he didnât like not having practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays and competitions twice a year to look forward to. So Yongsu was more than a friend - he was his best friend, the greatest friend he ever knew. He risked legal trouble to turn him into a vampire, possibly on sight of the accident even though Wonshik couldnât remember being bitten or tasting any blood besides his own. Yongsu didnât give him the details. Wonshikâs lips quirked upwards a little bit at the thought of his friend. Imagine the story he would tell tonight when he finally finished work. He would call up Yongsu and tell him about meeting the Jung heir. God, Yongsu would demand every detail in the book.Â
Wonshik took the money from the heir and felt the brush of the fingers against his and somehow, he expected a jolt or at least some sign of the power the heir had, but instead it felt like a normal hand. He plucked the change from the register, oblivious to anything else the heir was doing until he held his hand back out with the change and the small bag with the album tucked inside. âHere you go,â he said, managing to hold his calm facade this time, settling back into the lines heâd memorized from years of working in the shop. âHave a nice day,â he gave the heir a smile, the same one he used for all of his customers. It was just easier that way.
Weakness - Irene + Wonshik
Wonshik let out a little gasp of pain when the hand pressed against his wound. His lips thinned into a pained line as he continued to support himself on one shaking forearm, removing his own hand to allow her to staunch the bleeding. He glanced down at his fingers and grimaced at the sight of the blood.
He grew worried at the thought that there was nobody nearby to help aside from the noble vampire who had rescued him. He began to quietly fret once more that it would be the end of him until he heard the offer of blood. His eyes widened a little. Though he generally had a very weak thirst, the thought of drinking blood often had him craving it, just for the sake of experiencing it once more. Today though, he knew she was right - if he didnât get blood, his wound wouldnât heal before they reached help.
The wet press of the bleeding wrist prompted him to open his mouth and suck the blood from the bleeding vein. Honestly, heâd never drank vampire blood before today. It was so different, but also just as good. He could taste the nobleâs power and it sent a chill down his spine as his pain faded and the bleeding slowly stopped. He pulled his mouth away once the nobleâs vein had closed up, licking what remained off his lips.Â
âThank you,â he breathed softly, honestly meaning it. Sheâd just saved his life and healed him and Wonshik couldnât be more grateful.Â
Something Different - Wonshik + Yoojung
The dogâs name was definitely unoriginal, but no less inappropriate for the fluffy dog. He looked like a snowball, and Wonshik probably wouldâve given him the exact same name. He just laughed and shook his head. âNah, itâs a cute name for him. Heâs a cute dog,â and he wasnât kidding about that either. He loved animals, quite honestly. He just hadnât yet gotten one of his own, mildly concerned about the commitment that would come from it.
Wonshik wasnât surprised though when she rejected the money. People usually did - it was like a too good to be true offer. Wonshik would reject it too if he were in her position. He just shrugged his shoulders and smiled a little. âWell, regardless, thanks to Snow I got more tips, so at least let me thank you somehow. Iâll buy you lunch. I was just about to go myself,â he watched the girl a few moments longer before realizing that invitation mightâve been a little uncalled for. âIf you want, I mean--I wouldnât want to make you uncomfortable. I am a stranger after all,â and he would definitely understand if she said no.
âMy name is Wonshik by the way,â he bows a little bit, doing his best to be polite. At the very least he owed her a name after he asked her to lunch - though he had no other intentions other than to give her a thank you. He looked back down at the dog, his lips quirking into a smile when he met the two black dots of the eyes surrounded by thick, fluffy white fur. Yes, he was definitely an adorable dog.
Set on Fire - Wonshik + Taekwoon
The heirâs demeanour was different now - it was more easygoing and even somewhat childish. Wonshik felt the need to laugh, but he held it back. Laughing would probably be a little rude, and then heâd have to explain that he was finding the Jung heir somewhat charmingly adorable in that moment. So he just pushed the thoughts away, or at least did his best to.
Any thought were crushed the moment the Jung heir stepped forward. Wonshikâs hand caught the album shelf next to him, his fingers gripping it tightly as he leaned away a little, his heart jumping in his chest at the closeness of the heir. He could count the freckles on his face, sprayed there like a paintbrush had been flicked over his cheeks. He swallowed thickly before meeting the Jungâs eyes, frozen in place.
Wonshik wanted to call the situation ridiculous. After all, if someone told him the Jung heir would approaching him and stand with not an inch of space between their noses, he wouldâve called him crazy. And yet, here he was, staring him dead in the eye, far too close to be even remotely subtle. He fought the urge to push him away, figuring it would be a disrespect but also needing space in case someone was watching the exchange.
Luckily, it ended not too long after it began. Wonshik let out a breath, his hand shaking where it gripped at the shelf. He was relieved the eye contact was over, and he thought he might recover - until he heard the name âYongsuâ fall from the Jungâs lips. His head snapped back towards the heir in shock, wondering how he couldâve possibly known that. He didnât exactly go advertising that it was Yongsu who turned him.
âHow did you know that--â Wonshik rasped, too shocked for words. He closed his mouth a moment later, assuming that he was the Jung heir, and therefore he knew everything. But even so, it was just plain uncanny. If the heir knew everything, then he wouldâve known Wonshikâs age and the circumstances of his turning. He wouldâve already had those answers and wouldnât have any need to ask the questions. Unless he was fact checking. Wonshikâs head began to ache. God he really thought too much...
He didnât know why the Jung heir had chosen to apologize, and he didnât know how the hell he knew his name too. He was both sad and relieved to see the Jung heir go, resisting the urge to rub away the stress headache forming between his eyes. âYeah...Um...Okay...I can ring it up,â it was just his luck there was nobody at the cash register. He turned and moved for the counters, picking up the empty box and taking it with him before he stood behind the counter. He wondered if this might actually be the last he saw of the Jung heir in person.
Something Different - Wonshik + Yoojung
Wonshik smiled when she took the leash back before he turned his gaze back down to the dog who was as happy as ever, licking at her hands and face. Once the animal was back in her arms, he returned his gaze to her and smiled. âDonât worry about it, He didnât bother me. A performer knows how to improvise,â he meant that honestly - because it was the truth. âBesides, I think people liked his little performance,â
And the dog honestly hadnât bothered him at all. Quite the contrary really, it had been a nice refresher. Seeing a dog dancing was always cute, but heâd never actually seen one in person, and the sight had definitely brightened his already good day. It was a little strange that the dog had behaved so unusually. It made him wonder if the dog knew he wasnât human. But if the dog did...why would he approach? Besides, no other dog had decided they like him more since he transformed. It was probably a freak accident.
âHeâs cute. Whatâs his name? Also when did he learn to dance? Heâs quite talented,â he added that last bit on as a bit of a joke, finally stepping back over to the tin of change, surprised to find it full, even containing a few bills. There had to be enough to buy several meals, because thatâs what Wonshik usually used this money for. Free meals at his favourite restaurants were always good - though he would gladly dance for charity too, as he had done many times.
âI think everyone agrees heâs quite talented,â he says, picking a few of the fives out of the can to hold out to the girl. âHere, since your dog contributed so much. Buy him some treats. He worked hard,â to him though, giving her some of the money was only fair considering it was her dog. Wonshik could only say the dog had increased his profits, so he definitely owed something. At least in his mind he did.
Set on Fire - Wonshik + Taekwoon
For a moment, Wonshik thought he was hearing things when he faintly heard the word âbabyâ coming from the Royalâs lips. He was torn between two sides of himself, one that wanted to get flustered and strongly protest the fact that he most certainly was not a baby - heâd lived seventeen years on top of that, the only difference was he was a human. The other part was just in shock that the heir had called him a âbabyâ.
The Jung heir looked away before Wonshik could have a chance to protest the fact that heâd been called a baby. He felt relief when the eyes finally left him, taking the chance to relax and recompose himself properly. He was starting to feel better about the situation despite everything - and despite the fact that heâd been called a child. Yet, he was still surprised when he heard the mention of the Jungâs age. Wonshik was sure he didnât mean he was seven in vampire years - which meant the heir had acknowledged his human age as well. That warmed his heart a little. Maybe he wasnât just some vampire child to the heir after all.
Looking back over at the heir, he was surprised, his gut twisting sharply when he saw the smile on his once harsh face. It made him look less intimidating, and Wonshik definitely felt at ease. He wanted to look away out of politeness, but at the same time he felt like he could stare for days, especially when he faintly heard the laugh.
When the conversation turned towards how he was changed, Wonshik finally looked away, taking a breath as he scratched the back of his head and took a quick glance around to make extra sure nobody was nearby. âMy friend did it,â he replied when he recognized the coast was clear. âWe were walking home from school and I was hit by a car,â even to him it sounded dramatic, but it would explain the near death experience. Heâd never once worried about the legality of his transformation.
