I bump around in waves with what I do, but you can expect nature and fantasy, always. If you start seeing buildings, I may have been abducted. At this point all my interests merged into one venn diagram. Horsies... Testing new inktense colors for sketching (not new anymore, they sat a bunch in the folders. Also I drew them on my checkered notebook, of course... so I had to erase the lines....... everybody knows the best sketches appear in unfortunate places)

Some dandelion plein airs plus one straggler study for a bigger painting The grass and clover was dewy in the morning, making it reflect the sky and turn a dusty blueish hue <3. Reminds me of the color grass with frost gets.

Keeping house kind of Sunday. Why does a thread in a boot just break all of a sudden? Who knows. But my knowledge in mending grows in ever bizzarre and labirynthe ways. Skills: Invisible hem, invisible mending on a basic knit, and now apparently, ladder stitch on leather. Did you know you thread both ends of thread (..??) with a needle each????? Wild. And very slow if you're a noob. Missed the hole like two times and accidentally made a New One slightly off to the side with the leather needle. Hopefully that's fine. Starring my very 'rustic' 'leather' thimble made out of stretched popylore mushroom insides. I have another strip to make one more thimble but not much more than that.

From 6.11.25, full moon. Went out for plein air since the day before it was SO light out there in moonlight. Tried to only use vertical lines to experiment with what I saw Chris Hong sometimes do in her shading... didn't see them while I made them though, you can see in the first photo :D The end result was a suprise. I was kept company by mysterious probably-rodents skittering in the leaf litter around me. They seemed to freeze whenever I'd stop my pencil-scratching for a while. Colored over in digital to more or less match what I remember seeing

New plein airs? New plein airs. Today's shenanigans: changed plans because of incoming hot weather to a closer spot. It was cold. My hands froze. Well, here's two unplanned-for-today spots anyway, oops! Using non-cotton paper this time, cotton is occupied. Definitely different to work with. The only upside is that these papers are white as opposed to off-white, so the blues did not fight me :D

Plein air from the end of March. Season opened It was very traditional. I saw a spot on my walk, waited for another sunny day. It did not come quick. Sunny day here- okay, let's go. As I walked for 30 minutes the sky was slowly overtaken by a sheet of clouds. So I changed plans :')
