You want to talk about ERASING history?
When someone says these days sexism and misogyny donât exist anymore show them this.
Stop saying âthis is what they wantâ when people act violently against nazis. What they want is a debate. They want genocide to be something polite society can agree or disagree with. They want to be elevated to the general public discourse by having their ideas argued with. Violence is the exact opposite of what they want. Richard Spencer didnât want to get punched in the face, he wanted good people to keep quiet, to respect his rights and let him calmly discuss white nationalism. Violence throws a wrench in all their plans. It shows them their carefully planned tactics to infiltrate mainstream discussion are utterly failing. Punching a nazi will get you in legal trouble but donât let people tell you itâs what they want.Â
âŠI have so much to say to you that I am afraid I shall tell you nothing.

happy independence day letâs impeach the presidentÂ
iâm going to articulate this poorly because words arenât my strong suit but
thereâs no âother sideâ to the holocaust. there is no âother sideâ to genocide. itâs wrong, full stop. to argue for it even hypothetically is a monstrous thing to do.
the nazis need âhumanisingâ only insofar as to maintain the understanding that people are capable of doing such evil, and to keep watch of ourselves to make sure something like the holocaust doesnât happen again.Â
nobody needs to humanise the nazis to âunderstand their side of the story.â their side is void and wrong and worthless. current neonazis and holocaust deniers are the new breed of this evil and should be stamped out, not have their viewpoints and arguments and beliefs taught in schools as a valid system of beliefs.Â
Every nerd on this hellsite who isnât from the south, whose only knowledge of the south is from ordering a 2 piece at Popeyeâs, who still clutches their purse/holds their breath/locks their car windows/crosses to the other side of the street when they see a Black person coming: YâALL! đ
except theyâll spell it âyaâllâÂ

Cancerwareness: How would you feel if your parents were raising money to make sure nobody ever has a child like you?
Cysticfibrosisawareness: How would you feel if your parents were raising money to make sure nobody ever has a child like you?
Taysachsawareness: How would you feel if your parents were raising money to make sure nobody ever has a child like you?
Do you realize how ridiculous this sounds?
Maybe your fucking parents care about the troubles and issues youâve suffered and hope another child doesnât have to suffer you absolute morons.Â
Youâre making a common but very dangerous mistake by comparing autism to cancer and chronic illnesses. Unlike cancer, autism is a fundamental part of how our brains are built, which means that autism cannot be separated from who we are as people. Autism isnât an illness, itâs a neurotype - itâs something we are, not something separate like cancer that is happening to us and which is inherently negative. When you want to remove or cure our autism, youâre saying that you want to cure or remove a central part of who we are, a defining part of our personalities and how we experience the world, and thatâs a very dangerous sentiment to have towards your child.
The suffering associated with cancer is caused by cancer.Â
The suffering associated with autism is not caused by autism, but by how society treats autistic people.
Stop comparing them.
If you donât want an autistic person to suffer, just stop making them suffer.
âIf you donât want an autistic person to suffer, just stop making them suffer.â
Can we get this printed on billboards? Make special ed teachers write it a hundred times before theyâre allowed into a classroom? Burn it into the flesh of the people running autism speaks?
THISSS abled people can not understand why some people want cures and some donât. Itâs not THAT hard to explain itâs just difficult when you havenât experienced these perspectives personally, but I mean, is it that hard to just LISTEN to what people WITH THE ACTUAL THING ARE SAYING?
i wonder how many white âanime inspired owoâ artists on this fuck site have any idea that when they draw their (esp underage) characters in a seifuku - with an outrageously short skirt that blows up provocatively- that they are unwittingly perpetuating JK culture (aka a phenomena linked with pedophilia and human trafficking of underage girls) and further cementing it in the west as a portrayal of japan and trying to make it seem positive and cutesy that they do so.
you can reblog this if you want btw like im not trying to âpull one overâ these white artists or whatever i just find it really ignorant how this isnât recognized as a problem but tbh have crusty weebs ever truly cared ab the genuine issues of the country they fetishize? no
This thread is everything.
read and re-read and re-read the last statement.
Because no gifset could do Terryâs monologue justice.
This may be the most important 3.5 minutes of television in years.
This episode needs multiple awards, and so does Terry Crews for his delivery.
this episode had me in tears. how long have we been praying for things like this to be represented in a nuanced way? the conversation BETWEEN BLACK FOLKS, acknowledging generational differences in viewpoints, acknowledging that racial profiling and police brutality affects young black girls, addressing how police departments stifle progress through internal intimidation tactics, addressing the respectability politics and victim blaming that happens when black folks are targeted by police⊠for a half hour comedy B99 did a much better job of addressing police racism and brutality with this episode than any other tv show iâve seen in recent years
I donât want racists to feel safe. I donât want racists to feel comfortable. I donât want racists to enjoy being racists.
When racists feel safe, no one else does.
This is an enormous chain and Iâm sorry, but I need to say this:
The laws in the Old Testament were set forth by god as the rules the Hebrews needed to follow in order to be righteous, to atone for the sin of Adam and Eve and to be able to get into Heaven. That is also why they were required to make sacrifices, because it was part of the appeasement for Original Sin.
According to Christian theology, when Jesus came from Heaven, it was for the express purpose of sacrificing himself on the cross so that our sins may be forgiven. His sacrifice was supposed to be the ultimate act that would free us from the former laws and regulations and allow us to enter Heaven by acting in his image. That is why he said âit is finishedâ when he died on the cross. That is why Christians donât have to circumcise their sons (godâs covenant with Jacob), that is why they donât have to perform animal sacrifice, or grow out their forelocks, or follow any of the other laws of Leviticus.
When you quote Leviticus as godâs law and say they are rules we must follow because they are what god or Jesus wants us to do, what you are really saying, as a Christian, is that Christâs sacrifice on the cross was invalid. He died in vain because you believe we are still beholden to the old laws. That is what you, a self-professed good Christian, are saying to your god and his son, that their plan for your salvation wasnât good enough for you.
So maybe actually read the thing before you start quoting it, because the implications of your actions go a lot deeper than you think.
This is a theological point that doesnât come up often enough.
just a reminder:
a black girl character growing her hair out long breaks more stereotypes than a black girl character having short hair
a black girl character getting to be soft and fragile breaks more stereotypes than a black girl character being strong all the time
a black girl character being protected and comforted by others breaks more stereotypes than a black girl character having no one to look out for her but herself
a black girl character being considered pretty or cute by other characters breaks more stereotypes than a black girl character being considered unattractive
not everything that is empowering for white girls is empowering for black girls
the sexism we face overlaps, but it is not the same
