this is a band of brothers / hbo war multimuse, recruited by ella! i’m 25+, located in est, and a full-time college student double majoring in history & political science. as of now, this blog is relatively high activity. but that’s subject to change as the semester wears on. it’s happened, folks, and this blog is now on hiatus. i’ll be back when things slow down and muse strikes again. this blog is mutuals only. i also ask that you be at least 18 when following this blog--minors, do not interact.

          watching the sunrise over the crops and the barn from the kitchen of the old farm house still felt like a privilege. sure, the hour was early, but for a girl from london the beauty of all that unfettered nature never lost its charm.

          constance clucked her tongue slowly, one arm held propped against her hip as she cocked it to the side. grease popped up from the pan where she was frying eggs, splattering the wooden cabinets. making yet another mess that would have to be cleaned up, but connie couldn’t find it in herself to give it much thought. the rare mornings shared with mary were enough to buoy her spirit through anything.

         mary took her by surprise with the confession, and her immediate reaction was to be glib.  “ you only love me for my access to chickens,” her voice sticky like warm honey, connie settled a coquettish gaze on her girlfriend. 

         it occurred to her suddenly that mary might not be teasing her. in the frying pan, the eggs began to curl and burn at the edges. constance clicked off the gas, removing them from the heat, hissing as she burnt her fingers on the handle. 

         “ i’d prefer that sentiment to be real, though, you know. ”  self-consciously, she brought her hand to her lips and soothed the burnt pad of her middle finger with her tongue. now she was nervous--what if mary had said it in jest?
