my summaries after catching up with estonia’s saturday replays and interviews:

adrien looks very stressed and complains about a loose steering wheel which distracted him and caused contact on one section. also the usual grievances about tyres and a weak engine that the team cannot seem to improve 🫠

thierry’s doing fine but i was hoping for more progress… at least we have no big crash and the changes to his car seems to be working ! (according to comms he had a change to the front guards)

sami is leading but i’m not confident enough about a win *chuckles nervously* since he’s not particularly familiar with the course and has the habit of sending it too much and binning into some ditch on the last day. let’s hope he keeps a cool head until power stage.

renaud jamoul (adrien’s former co-driver) was on comms today ! he’s very soft-spoken and gives interesting insights so i’ll ignore that he’s co-driving for jos verst*ppen.

renaud is particularly impressed with jon armstrong’s performance and also vincent landais’ note-calling lmao

renaud thought elfyn could have been better off with being 2nd or 3rd in the championship bc the remaining rounds are gravel rallies and he will mostly end up sweeping the roads; in the same vein, ogier could easily cruise to a title again bc the road position benefits him

enni is sensational and show-stopping as usual ✨she’s like a ray of sunshine

lappi is lagging behind but i think he’s doing good for someone’s not driving a rally1 since kenya. renauld particularly thought he just lacked rhythm and could have fought for a win if he managed to get a more consistent schedule.
