The red haired witch smiled when the horse looked at her. She patted the horse’s head gently. “They have been here longer than I do. They are not fond of meat.” There are some unique animals roaming the field but the looked very harmless, slow in their mobility and looked mellow ss if they are comfortable with Arkhes’s presence. They did stare at the wolf with curiosity but they are almost too shy to approach them.
Minerva noticed when her hand was being held by Arkhes and she looked back at Arkhes before smiling and nodded. “Arkhes, your power made you transparent on this world. Without your magic, you won’t be able to see all of this..Unlike me, you have unlimited time to explore this world. I’m only a witch, my time to enjoy this world is quite short..”
She commented before gesturing her hand towards the open green field in front of them. The flowers on the field were colorful and translucent, and have luminous edge on each petals while trees harboring crystal fruits. There is hill in the distant horizon, probably ocean that visible on the sight since they stood on hills. The sun emits a warm glow that’s rather comforting on the skin while wind blowing softly at the place.
“I wish I could live here, but even without God’s interference, I feel guilty. What if there is actually God? I couldn’t find them anywhere..” She speaks out her worried thoughts continuously.
A brief laugh escaped Arkhes’s lips. Even her cold heart felt warmer again here. “I’m very sorry my wolf is made of meat then. She won’t eat anything made of wood, though.”
The wolf whined in confusion and returned to Arkhes’s side. The wolf knew well enough to know when other “animals” were being wary of her, and without her pack, she would be cautious.
“...So what if there is a god who interferes with you, Minerva? What if there isn’t?”
“There are a lot of people with big questions. But it’s more important to know what you would do with the information if you were ever given an answer. My power was granted to me by the gods. But there are so many things I cannot do because I have this gift. I’ve seen so much in my life, I’ve relied on these wolves and other creatures for so long... That’s why I know for sure. You should live the life that you can, even if it means fighting fate to protect what you love. I learned that from a certain person. Humans-- and witches-- can still fight the gods.” It happened again, and again, throughout history. “Besides...”
The glow of the sunlight looked so stunning on Minerva, as if she were almost an illusion. Arkhes admired it.
“The light of the sun suits you beautifully. You shouldn’t ever hide from it or feel guilty for basking in it.”
