I decided to make lotion bars this week. They turned out great! They are made with coconut oil, almond oil, and bee's wax, so they smell like honey.
Tessa Horrocks is a print-maker who makes original prints using the ‘intaglio’ technique collagraph. Influenced by microscopic structures and nature she likes to create images about little worlds within worlds, often describing feelings and energies inside her self and to her surroundings. She enjoys the technique collagraph for its simplicity and its textures and has used this to create a series of recent prints celebrating the pebble.
by Mister Finch
“Scraps of thread, fabric and paper are stitched and pulled into fairytale creatures looking for new owners and worlds to inhabit. They hide in the woods, behind masks, some have died along the way and are buried under spoon lockets. Finch works alone and makes everything himself by hand in a studio full of books, glass jars and naughty cats.”
Artist's book I made this year. Box and book completely hand crafted. The pages are letterpress printed leaf designs without ink. Between the pages are clear bottles pressed with the words "Imagination has the right to feast in the shade of the tree that it turns into a forest. -Karl Kraus"
Teacups: Works in progress. Need to do another etch on the plates, but I like how they are coming along. The color print is double printed, the first layer being a viscosity roll soft ground plate I made with antique lace.
"Smoke" Oli-based ink monotype on plexi.
Trading card I made for my letterpress class this year. This project was a lot of fun. Everyone used original artwork and text.
"Comic" I drew for my digital arts class. Not sure what I think of it...but here it is.
"Playing Dead" -Based on excerpts from Rosalind E. Krauss's essay on Entropy.
Hand bound hardcover Artist's book, hand printed on polyester plates. This was a project for my digital arts class that I managed to transform into a printing project instead!
