NEW POST | The Concept of Being Alone
SPRING IS HERE!! That’s why we’re launching our “Queer Women of Color Spring into Action Campaign!” We want you to use the hashtag #QWOCSpringN2Action to tell us about the women, organizations and/or projects right there in your community that work endlessly to empower queer women of color. Maybe it’s a neighbor, a church member or a local community outreach program. Whatever or whomever it may be, we want to know about it! Connect with us on Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook and Instagram using hashtag #qwocspringN2action and/or repost this image to tell us who you think deserves special recognition for their hard work. The top stories will be featured on QLiCPress.com!

It’s #tbt “God is love and love is for everyone”, says Bishop Tonyia Rawls. Read our piece about the Many Voices campaign and their mission to change the way the Black church treats queer people. Watch their inspiration video and read our co-founder’s experience growing up queer in the church. http://qlicpress.com/2013/11/30/many-voices

The QLiC Press #wcw today is the gorgeous Parisian model, Ines Rau. You’ll remember Rau from the controversial photo-shoot she did with model,Tyson, last year. Rau transitioned at the age of 16 but didn’t come out as transgender until several years later. On coming out she said, “I just woke up one day realizing that it’s enough, I need to embrace who I am and be loved for what I am and what I have been through — without the fear of being rejected.”

“It is revolutionary for any trans person to choose to be seen and visible in a world that tells us we should not exist.”
