    it was NICE seeing all her old friends back in town at the same time. it didn’t feel totally right lacking their presence in the choir room, with basically their mini-mes running around in their place. it was an opinion she had no problem voicing, despite being told not to. still, it was hard to hold back when she missed them all. she hadn’t gotten much time to spend with any of them in their time back thus far, so she was more than excited to be able to sit and talk with quinn. ❛ so tell me, how’s yale ? is it boring ? have you met your logan huntzberger yet ? ‘cause if you have, just say no. trust me on that one. there are plenty of nice rich guys you could go for. or you could just ask me for money. ❜

“ i’m  happy  to  hear  that ,  quinn .”  she  deserved  good  things ,  he  had  told  her  once .  he  still  believes  that ,  wholeheartedly ;  believes  quinn  deserved  a  happy  ending .  “ i’m  great ;  its  not  exactly  what  i  had  planned  to  do ,  you  know ?  coach  the  football  team … but  the  money’s  good  &  i  can’t  complain ,  even  if  everyone’s  so  far  away .”

“  hey ,  thanks  for  meeting  with  me .”  the  bright ,  joyful  smile  that  paints  his  lips  isn’t  lost ,  pulling  the  chair  out  for  quinn  to  take  a  seat ;  his  coffee  from  the  lima  bean  sits  atop  of  the  two - person  table  sam  had  managed  to  get  his  hands  on .  “ i  hope  it  wasn’t  too  short  notice  or  anything … how  are  you ,  quinn ? ”

“ it’s no problem. ” the corners of her lips pull up as she takes her seat. fingers tap the table top gently for a moment before drawing back. “ oh no, i mean it’s rare that i’m even in lima in the first place so i’m glad we could even meet. i’m good. really good. how are you ? ”
