You can now finally sync any QR code scan from your QR code library in the mobile app with your QR code library on QRganize.com!
2. Logout button
This is a major and much-needed enhancement to QRganize. No more logging back in if you have not used QRganize in a while. This creates a much better experience for all QRganize users!

Recently in Businessweek:
And smartphone ticketing will get a boost from Apple (AAPL) this fall when the next version of its iPhone operating system is released. The new software includes a feature called Passbook, a digital wallet to store boarding passes, coupons, movie tickets, and gift cards—many of which rely on QR codes. Passbook “will raise awareness” for QR codes, Yi says. “That’s the great thing that Apple brings to the table.”
QRganize fulfills this need for the QR code user, and has been since December of 2011. The useful applications of: storing boarding passes, coupons, movie tickets and gift cards are precisely the reason QRganize was created. Whether you want to call it a QR code library or a wallet makes little difference: "QRganize is a wallet for your scans". Getting "schticky" with QR codes
We love all things QR codes here at QRganize. But, what's really quite fascinating is the relationship of QR codes and print. There's a huge possibility for engagement along with the goal of getting someone to scan your QR code. (Hint: the "Wow, you have a QR code on your biz card!" reaction)
In other words... let's get "schticky" with QR codes.
So what you see here is a QRganize QR code sticker on a Mac. Just one of many places you can plaster a QR code sticker. Pretty standard--not much to see here.
Think again...... It's alive!!!
Cool, right?
Scenario: you're hacking away at your workspace, cafe, wherever it is that you do your thing. Someone says, "Hey, what's up with that guy/gal's Mac? Do they have something out by Apple that I don't even know about?? Hope not. Let me go take a closer look."
They approach you: "Oh, it's a QR code sticker on your Mac. Nice! Can I scan it?"
So what we have here is an awesome opportunity for engagement--to tell them about your product or whatever it is behind your QR code. Maybe it just goes to your Pinterest profile.
In this case, it's the QRganize iTunes page... lit up like a light bulb! Which is particularly neat because QRganize is an app for the iPhone, with the Apple logo behind, etc.
Are we on to something here? Is placing a QR code sticker on your Mac the 2012 version of a QR code on your biz card?
(Sidenote: the QR code scans with the laptop closed and does not with the light behind. Which is even better, because you can stop what you're doing--and take a moment to tell them about what they are scanning.)

We think 2012 is going to be a big year for QR codes and QRganize as well. Hopefully John Cusack's character will be nowhere to be found as the 2012 end of the world prophecy proves to be false. It'd be pretty tough to scan a QR code in those conditions.
Anyway, hope you achieve all of your resolutions. Let QRganize be your go-to QR code app in 2012 and beyond!

Version 1.1
QRganize version 1.1 is now out, which allows you to lift restrictions and upgrade to QRganize Premium - the bread & butter, or milk & cookies of the app. Who doesn't like these tasty treats? Santa sure does.
Official release date
Tuesday (12/6) - QRganize will be officially unleashed on the App Store!
Due to the likelihood of a large amount of "cases of the Mondays" circulating the day prior--we're going the route of completely avoiding that day. (Humor)
Speaking of humor, be on the lookout for a heavy dosage of Liam Neeson "Release the Kraken!" references--as that pertains to releasing an app.

The free QR code encyclopedia
We're fans of QRpedia here at QRganize. Not only because we're both portmanteau words, but for more practical reasons as well.
QRpedia is a great way to compile highly useful information from Wikipedia on just about any topic into nice, compact QR codes. QRpedia also delivers QR codes in many languages. The possibilites are endless.
This goes hand in hand with what QRganize is all about. If a library is a collection of knowledge, resources and most likely encyclopedias--then surely there is a space for QRpedia in your QR code library.
In other words, when you have scanned a code generated by QRpedia--you can store the information you just obtained into a relevant category within QRganize. For example: the Art or Museums categories. Even if you absorb the code's content right at that moment--QRganize makes it super easy to store, refer to, or even collect the vast amounts of knowledge held in QR codes generated by QRpedia. A variety of museums and exhibits are already putting QRpedia to use, which makes perfect sense.
Excuse me, Mr. Shelf (in your QR code library). Make room for QRpedia.
Instapaper for QR codes
If you're not familiar with Instapaper--it's a simple tool to save web pages for reading later. It goes like this:
Instapaper gives you a "Read Later" bookmark
When you find something interesting you want to read, but don't have time, click "Read Later"
Come back when you have time, or read your articles on the go
Read Instapaper articles anywhere: Computer, Paper, iPhone, iPad, iTouch, Kindle, etc.
Add folders to organize your articles.
Share articles you've saved with others.
You're getting warmer.
If you're not familiar with QRganize--it's an app that allows you to scan QR codes and organize them into categories of interest. It goes like this:
QRganize gives you a mobile app
Add interesting categories to your library so you can organize scans (like Instapaper folders)
When you scan a QR code that caught your eye, use the "Organize" button to store the scan into one of your categories of interest (like the "Read Later" function)
When you have time, come back to the mobile app or log in to the QRganize website (coming soon)
Share scans with others by visiting the categories in your library
Don't feel like organizing a scan? No worries. Those that you don't organize fall into an "Uncategorized" category (like Instapaper's "Unread")

Does Roger Ebert scan QR codes?
Over the past two years or so, QR codes have been popping up on movie posters. If they're incorporated properly and add value--this is a great spot. Whether the poster is located in the theatre or on a building, a lot of movie-goers will be poised to take action. Obvious reasons are:
Who doesn't bring their smartphone to the theatre? Phones are silenced in the theatre, not outside of it. Scan away.
A lot of movie posters are actually very attention grabbing in the absence of a QR code. Folks tend to like new and exciting upcoming releases--drifting toward them with smartphone in hand.
Depending on the release, certain titles are teased far in advance. With a healthy QR code, there's big opportunity due to the amount of time a poster is visible. Place it in a desirable area and a good amount of scans can occur.
QRganize comes with a "Movies" category to help you keep track of all the trailers, specials or free tickets resulting from movie related scans. Organize them within this category to view for the first time, revisit, or take action when ready.

We live in a world where more content is generated in one day that can be consumed in an entire lifetime. The amount of information pushed at us daily is nothing short of enormous. Something that is intriguing and can capture our attention for even a brief moment is amazing. That's what QR codes do.
Here's a definition of QR codes that you may have heard:
Real world hyperlinks.
If QR codes are real world hyperlinks, why not have the power to manage them the way you do online hyperlinks?
While stationary from your laptop, perhaps you do/have done any of the following:
Used a bookmark bar in your browser such as Chrome or Firefox
Bookmarked URLs
Bookmarked URLs to a specific folder
Emailed yourself interesting articles
Managed your Email inbox using labels
Favorited a tweet you liked
Created a twitter list
Created a G+ circle
Circled someone up on G+
Used the service: Instapaper
...and the list goes on.
If you do/have done any of these (conscious of it or not)--all you're doing is making it easier for yourself to find something that struck you as important or interesting. You're trying to be more productive. You're organizing.
So the question is: If QR codes are real world hyperlinks why not...
Have more command of your scans
Extend the life of your scans
Easily find your real world hyperlinks when you need them
Create a sense of scan ownership
Increase your productivity
Take in scan content on your own time
Enhance your overall QR code experience
...and the list goes on.

Museums have received a good amount of hype surrounding their efforts on incorporating new mobile technologies such as QR codes.
Without a doubt, many visitors venture into museums with smartphone in hand. This brings great opportunity for engagement. Some examples could include: video, rare/lesser known information, or an answer to a question posed at the exhibit. Any local, regular visitor or tourist could find QR codes useful within a museum.
So, who are you?
Are you...
a tourist on vacation who's paid lots of money and traveled thousands of miles to see an attraction?
a person fascinated with history or the arts? A historian or an art aficionado?
a regular museum visitor who's interested in the exhibit?
just someone who just wants to scan the QR code featured?
Each one of these people need one convenient, organized place to store their experience. One place for revisiting. One place to spark their memory, share it with others and refer to it easily once they're home.
