Normally Ashley stayed off the streets at all, any outfit she wore called too much attention and even with a gang of more than enough to help her carry on her business or do as she pleased, sometimes she felt as if she was cornered. Maybe just a little too cornered at that. Her eyes widened substantially, she was rounding a corner, she could hear the sound of fighting. The scuffling stopped when she called out and she could have swore she heard a girl make a noise.
Now her attention was absolutely on the situation. And she raised her brows, running and pulling out a gun, the hidden holster beneath her jacket always making her look about ten times less deadly then she actually was. She trained the weapon expertly upon the first boy and grinned widely, he was no more than 16 and she gauged by his and the other's reaction, who seemed to about the same age, that they were unarmed. A twisted smile and she pulled the hammer back on the weapon. Ashley just didn't like people, human beings specifically, and with a twist of her fingers, the middle and index flexing towards the trigger, she froze them in place.
Then her fingers flicked and they slammed on individual sides of the alley way. Once unfrozen and out of shock they both rose and ran past her, the smell of released bodily fluids making her nose turn up, she pushed the hammer back safely and stowed the gun away. She was moving, inching towards the back where a large dumpster sat, and she could hear whimpering. She tapped two manicured nails onto the edge gently. "Hey there -- it's alright now, you can come out."
Covered by multiple layers of fabric to keep the body heat with her, rather than getting cold, she made her way through the somewhat deserted streets. Fingers wrapped around the fabric of her sleeves as she shuffled past all buildings, with the intention to get home as soon as possible, to huddle up in front of her fireplace with a nice cup of hot chocolate, curled up in a blanket, the perfect way to spend the friday evening if it was up to her. Her bag was clasped underneath her arm against her side, keeping it close in order not to lose anything as all belongings in there were certainly needed for her to go around in a good mood-- considering the time she had spend on it.
Although she had seen the two boys approach her from the opposite side, she never expected them to actually stop her from walking, rather than walking by and acting as if she was air. So as soon as she got stopped, her eyebrows raised into a curious yet somewhat worried frown considering the time of the day they decided to do such a thing. They were young, although both were a lot longer than her, which wasn't hard to reach considering her height being only 160 cm. Something about them intimidated her, the look in their eyes perhaps.
Before she knew it, the taller out of the two had grabbed her bag and didn't only drag the bag but also her along with it, into the nearest alley, causing her to whimper out in surprise, not sure how to respond, but remembering the amount of times she'd seen teenagers involved in the biggest cases, she immediately got scared and knew she wouldn't stand a chance to the two taller boys, as not only they were taller but also stronger. She stood no chance against them and she was perfectly aware. Her hands were firmly clasped around the bag to prevent them from stealing it.
Even after receiving a few kicks at some moment, she desperate clung onto her bag. To her it was filled with important things only, although to them it might've been not as important, considering she hadn't brought any money, nor other expensive things. Instead it had been filled with newly bought pencils and her sketchbook, things she had to keep at all times. And she was pretty sure they would take the bag, run away and only then check her belongings, rather than checking first and giving the bag back once they didn't find anything interesting.
A sound echoed through the alley, causing them to let go of her, as to which she fell back against the cold tiles. Not paying attention to what was going on, she simply checked to see if her things were still in tact and as if she wasn't hurt too badly as at some point she could feel a stinging pain in her ankle but quickly pushed it out of her mind. A few seconds later, she heard people run and glanced over, a somewhat relieved whimper leaving her lips as she glanced up only to find an unknown female standing there. 'They're gone?' she asked again, just to be sure.
