why such dreary weather ? It was a shame. The one day he had to himself had to be ruined by a sudden rain shower. Typical, he thought; He’d been unsuccessful in cheating his bad luck all day.
Narrowed irises had found their destination, an angry sapphire blue on display behind his dripping locks of hair. The thump of a fist against the door split the serenade of droplets raining from the heavens, an attempt to shelter in the supposed residence of a complete stranger being made in his moment of irritation.
Surely, he’d only stay for a while…
{✿} Was she expecting it? Of course not, she wasn’t expecting it at all. The sound had startled the girl, hands unceremoniously slamming down onto the piano where they had been hovering above it, head quickly turning towards the door. One of the times she had been completely alone and decided to go downstairs, and somebody had shown up - it was something she hadn’t been expecting in the slightest.
Slightly unsteady feet carried her to the door when she had stood up, a pale, and slightly shaking, hand carefully pulling the door open so she could see the person who had shown up, confusion and a slight fear sitting in blue irises.
She wanted to say something, ask him why he had come here of all places - but she didn’t say a word as she saw that the male was getting practically soaked. Instead, she stepped out of the way as she also pulled the door open enough for the male to come in, the confusion that she felt being replaced with worry.

Just his luck, he’d happened upon someone kind. But he still felt unease, intruding into a young girl’s house like this.
Her gesture for him to enter was a relief to see, but he couldn’t forget his manners. He was the only one out of them who had any; His position on that chart mustn't go to waste.
A dip of his head followed his request, angry eyes softening as his tense posture slackened.
❝ I was not expecting it to rain today. ❞
❝ I merely came to request . . . ❞
How silly he must look, as though he were afraid of the rain. His patience running out in harmony with the raindrops, he continued.
❝ . . . That I shelter beneath your roof until the storm dissipates. ❞
❝ Pardon my rudeness. If you wish to turn me away, that is alright. ❞
