If y’all do rune readings for divination I think it’s finally time for me to start doing readings with my cards against humanity set
👀 Honestly that's a cool idea.
How To Undo A Spell:
Sometimes after you cast a spell, you will wish to undo it because you do not want it to manifest into the world. Knowing how to undo spells can help you stop your and other people’s magick from taking shape in many situations. To use this information, you will need to know the fundamentals of creating your spells and rituals so that you will be able to put together something to accomplish your desires.
Undoing Spells:
There are a couple of ways you can go about undoing a spell, but most of the time, you will go through the act of nullifying it by sending another spell after it. You can always use the method of allowing the spell to run its course so that it will eventually run out of kna by using it all to manifest what it needs to, but this will not be preferred in a lot of cases. To undo a spell, you will need to stop the kna of that spell by sending out your spell to nullify it. The purpose of the spell will be to nullify the purpose of the first spell. We will target the kna of the spell already present in the universe. To do a spell like this, you are going to lay it out like you do every other spell by cleansing, grounding, centering, and protecting the space you are within so that you can have an area to work magick. Next, you will want to raise kna that have to do with banishing. This is so that you can use this kna to banish the kna of the spell already acting in the universe. You could also go through finding or creating a sigil that will undo a spell. To use this banishing kna to target the spell you are trying to undo, you should find something connected to that spell or focus on what that spell was supposed to accomplish so that you can target it and banish it with the kna that you have gathered. Once you send out that kna It will go forth and nullify the spell that you have targeted. The whole idea here is to banish the kna of the spell that you do not want to manifest.

Crystals, and Stones For Cursing
A lot of the time, you see crystal references that refer to favorable metaphysical properties of the stones, but in this list, we are going to be looking at more negatively associated properties that could be used in your magickal working. These properties are brought out from the stones primarily when used in situations that use their kna in excess or metaphysical properties that we would associate with more negative aspects of being.
Amethyst: To cause oversensitivity to spiritual kna and to cause illusion.
Lapis Lazuli: To cause illusion, oversensitivity, detachment, and ungroundedness.
Opal: To cause bad luck and greed.
Quartz Crystal: To cause kna overflow.
Selenite: To cause kna overflow.
Flint: To cause conflicts.
Pyrite: To cause illusion, bad luck, and greed.
Obsidian: To cause overwhelming emotions and conflicts.
Diamond: To cause binding on a physical or spiritual level, betrayal, bad luck, and greed.
Blue Lace Agate: To cause people to confess to their actions.
Celestite: To cause detachment and ungroundedness.
Jasper: To cause aggression, anger, and overbearing control.
Tiger’s eye: To cause arrogance, pride, and egotism.
Pearls: To cause bad luck, sadness, and depression
Emerald: To summon harmful entities.
Agate: To turn your enemies against themselves and to cause confusion.
Turquoise: To cause corruption and decay.
Types of cursing:
A curse is a magick spell, or ritual with the intention to harm by sending some form of negative kna to a construct, or entity. Curses have been known to cause so many different forms of harm, all depending upon the intentions of the person who places it, or the event that the curse comes from. There are three different types of cursing that are more or less based on what the curses effect these are target curses, bound curses, and family curses.
Target Curses:
These types of curses target a specific entity, and are used to cause harm in some way to that specific entity. these curses will be sent out from the practitioner in order to inflict the Target with some form of negative aspects. This process will usually use a magickal link referred to as a taglock in order to connect with the individual entity. These taglocks will be connected to the target through association, similarity, or contagions, and will be the bridge in order for the negative kna to travel along.
Bound Curses:
These types of curses will be bound to specific objects, and will affect their surroundings with the negative kna that they emit. These curses can also be attached to places themselves, and will affect everything that comes in contact with that place. These types of curses will also affect the objects, or the places themselves putting them into a state of decay, and corruption, while they also go through the process of affecting everything that is in its vicinity. Places, and object bound curses can happen unintentionally through highly emotional, and traumatic negative events, which will infuse into the places, or objects making them into cursed constructs. If done intentionally by a practitioner it should be noted that this type of cursing method can be quite uncontrollable, because you do not know who will come in contact with the place, or the object that you curse, which can have unfortunate consequences.
Family Curses:
Family Curses also sometimes referred to as generational curses are curses that affect an entire family, and its bloodline. These type of curses also decrease in power as generations go on. It is pretty much split by half every time there is a new descendant. These types of curses will target in entire family, and will usually do so for generations causing misfortune, and harm throughout its being.
Introduction to Sigils
Sigils are magical drawings or symbols imbued with spellwork. They are generally either self-contained spells or part of a string of symbols.
Forms of Sigils: A few examples to help you along! Preexisting Sigils and Runes: This one is fairly self explanatory. This is using existing sigils and or runes to channel intent. Nordic runes, Egyptian hieroglyphs, and even Chinese characters are open game for usage when charging them with intent. Alchemical symbols and religious symbols also tend to fall into this category. From the fish of Christianity to Brigid’s cross, all the way to the sigils of demons, there are upwards of thousands of symbols that have been used throughout history both tied to deities and not.
Word sigils: Using word sigils is the practice of imbuing a word with magical intent. In practice this might look like someone putting the word “Protected” on their bag or on a piece of paper to act as a ward. Some people like word sigils because their lative language is often something they understand on a very deep level that has meaning to them, but the opposite might also be true where you might avoid it because the word you want has a meaning to you that doesn’t line up with your intent. If this seems like an appealing option, but doesn’t quite feel right I’d suggest coming back to the idea in the Letter Method of crafting your own sigil.
Sentence Sigils: Similar to word sigils, sentence sigils are also the practice of using written words imbued with intent to do spellcraft. This one tends to be the least recognizable as a sigil. Your “Live Laugh Love” poster in your living room could technically, in this wider umbrella, be considered a sigil.
Self Crafted Sigils: Self crafted sigils are the sigils we make ourselves. This is usually what comes to mind when people think of sigils. There are many ways to make them that are discussed below, but the essence of them is a design we craft and give intent to. It’s not much different from a symbol that already exists, but when we craft them ourselves they can take on more specific and sometimes more complex intentions.
Techniques for crafting sigils
Assuming you want to make your own sigil instead of using a symbol that already exists, there are a few methods. The most important part is charging them with your intent, but sigil crafting is an art form and giving it some personal touch or inherent meaning can take it up a notch.
The Letter Method: This method is done by taking a word that means what you want it to and deconstructing it into its base letters and reshaping it into a symbol. How people go about this varies, some people remove vowels, some people cancel out repeat letters, some people do it differently every time depending on what they think feels right.
Simple Shapes:
This sigil making technique arguably has roots in the ideas of sacred geometry, but in practice generally revolves around combining basic shapes. I am personally attached to the hexagon for things like warding for instance. It is the strongest shape in nature and makes both snowflakes and beehives, but there are lots of reasons to use all the other shapes. Circles are also often used for the belief that they protect and contain.
Circle Method:
This method is done using, well, circles and going from point to point within circles within circles. Some people use natal charts for this or map it out using the zodiac signs they want to incorporate and drawing from one to another. Could do it by having the ones you want to be predominant on the outside or the starting point and going around. The options could go on from there.
Mandala:
“Mandala actually means ‘circle’ in Sanskrit. You can create mandalas for different things, to symbolize different intentions. As you draw and create, a mandala can reveal the inner workings of yourself and your soul. It can be used as a meditation and mindfulness tool, to create feelings of inner peace and calm, reduce stress and anxiety, and much more. It is a fun, creative and personal way to explore your inner self, express feelings, merge inner and outer worlds, and also use it as a manifestation tool. It can be inspirational and therapeutic.” Mandalas are most easily made, in my experience, by making a small circular design and expanding outward by drawing designs around the small circle. Continue this process of drawing around the smaller circles as it gets bigger until it’s the size you want.
Bindrunes:
Bind runes are done by combining nordic runes together. This is done by stacking or putting smaller versions of the runes on a larger one. This is done by running the runes together on a single middle line. One way to do this is to draw a straight line and try to incorporate all the runes you want into that shape whether it being making the straight part of one into the whole line or tying the rune to it. This might be easier explained visually and if you’re having trouble feel free to either look up an example, or ask!
The Freeform method:
This one is fairly open ended. Whether a combination of multiple techniques listed above or done through a freehand drawing this one is definitely the most versatile of the bunch. This also means it is the least structured and most intuition based technique.
Introduction to Altars
Altars are generally where you will do most of your working as a witch, but they aren’t a necessary part of your craft. If you don’t want to have one, you don’t have to. They are more than anything else, acquired out of want or convenience. They make a good place to put your supplies and create an atmosphere within your home. You hear about them fairly frequently within the community so this document will endeavour to help explain them, or otherwise help you put your own together!
Altar Etiquette
Alter etiquette mostly revolves around how you should interact with another witch’s altar. Most of this is easily helped by consent, but it might not be immediately obvious that doing something like taking a photograph or picking up something off another witch’s altar would be frowned upon. Oftentimes an altar has a lot of significance to a witch, everything might have been placed in a very specific way. Sometimes people don’t mind, but it’s always better to ask first!
Constructing an Altar
Constructing your own altar can be done by a few methods. From purely intuitive to more planned for best associations methods like putting objects associated best with the elements in their respective cardinal directions.
Intuitive Method
The intuitive method is about as straightforward as it sounds. You get what feels right to you personally. This can involve placing certain stones or flowers on the altar that seem to mesh with what you want the general vibe to be.
Directional Association
Taking a directional association is usually going to involve finding the cardinal directions or picking a part of your home that already falls under them, for example setting up at your most northern facing wall.
Using an Altar Cloth
An altar cloth similar to a table cloth in that it is used both to protect the table from things like spills and damage as well as acting as a decoration. Some altar cloths come with instructions or designs that imply where certain objects should be placed. These are found across different rituals, cultures, and religions.
Uses for an altar A few notes to help you get started!
Offerings
An altar is a good place for leaving offerings whether this be to gods, fae, or local spirits alike. Usually placed in a vessel called an offering dish, offering plate or offering bowl. This doesn’t have to be on the altar, and if you’d prefer to have it somewhere else, that’s also fine, but this is a very common place for it to be kept. Often this comes with the idea that the being you are leaving an offering to is blessing your altar and it’s purposes.
Spellwork
Most of your spellwork is going to be conducted at your altar, especially things regarding the home and yourself. All of your tools are easy to use and in one place, so this acts as both an area to help ground and amplify spellwork as well as a convenience.
Charging Objects
Setting objects on your altar is a known way to charge them. Where some witches will put objects in the sun or moonlight, burn objects, or charge things otherwise, you might place something on your altar in order to let it acquire energy from the area around you. Your altar tends to be your magical center, so the flow of energy would theoretically bring it charge. Otherwise if you also put charged crystals on your altar periodically this effect could be amplified.
Affecting the Atmosphere of the Home
Another reason for an altar is having it act as spellwork in and of itself. Decorating or otherwise arranging your altar be it per season or for certain effects could turn the whole thing into one large house spell. You put your intent into your arrangement.
Storage
Perhaps the most practical use for an altar, it could very well just be an aesthetically pleasing place to keep your tools, objects, and materials. A lot of the time when we choose things, it’s because we enjoy the feeling of them. Having things we like around can just be largely pleasant while also keeping it all in one convenient place where we can find them.
Bibliomancy, The Art Of Divining From A Book:
Bibliomancy is a form of divination done through literature. The individual takes a random phrase or word from a text randomly and then uses that to interpret in answer to their question. It can be done with any form of text. Still, individuals usually choose holy books. It is essential to remember that the larger the text and more expansive the text, the better the answer will usually be as it will be able to communicate more effectively. Like all forms of divination, Bibliomancy works off of reading kna, and then the Divination tool is used to translate that interpretation to the user. The Divination tool is not inherently unique, so you can use any form of text. All you must do is pick up a form of text, ask your question out loud or in your head, then proceed to be guided to the first thing you place your finger upon, then interpret what that says against your question. It is a simple and effective method of divination that can be used anytime you have some form of literature. It is also discreet, so you can do it at any place you would like without drawing attention to yourself.
What do you do when you get discouraged from your own magic? I've been Tarot reading seriously for more than a year now. But when I'm starting to get more confident, I misinterpreted my most recent reading and thought I wouldn't be fired from my job. Now, I'm taking a break from Tarot reading because I don't want to let myself down again.
There was one time I put so much energy into a spell that I really needed, and it ended up back firing completely. In fact whenever I reference cursing myself, this is the time I usually am thinking about.
Ideally, there have also been times when I've done successful spells with doing little to nothing.
The reason I tell you this, is because sometimes you'll put so much magic into something, and it blows up in your face. It doesn't mean that you are a bad practitioner, or that your magic is bad. There are many factors that come into play with spell work, magic or divination. Think if it like a batch of cookies, add too little or too much of something, and your meal is completely opposite of what you want.
It doesn't mean you're a bad cook, it just means that you can't always replicate things the same.
In the case of divination, caution is most certainly a MUST. You didn't do anything wrong. The nature of tarot is that we're shown one way that something can happen, something that's in our grasps, but that doesn't mean that it'll just be handed to us. Sometimes we'll have to put in the work to get what's shown to us.
Tarot is not ever absolute, even when it seems like it is. You have to do something to get to what you read. I encourage you to actually keep on, I know you may lack confidence, but continuing to read will be the only way you'll get through this. Just go forth with caution, but also know we make mistakes sometimes.
Let me know how things go!

Ace Of Wands Keywords
UPRIGHT: Inspiration, new opportunities, growth, potential
REVERSED: An emerging idea, lack of direction, distractions, delays
Ace Of Wands Description (rider wait smith)
In the Ace of Wands, a hand holding a sprouting wand extends out from a cloud, as if to offer a new opportunity or idea with the potential to grow. The rich, verdant landscape is further confirmation of this growth capability. In the distance on the left sits a castle, representing the promise of opportunities to come, and hills and mountains line the horizon. Their rolling peaks remind us that there will always be challenges along the way, but they are surmountable with enough effort.
Unpopular witchcraft opinion: Yarn is the most versatile spell component of all times, it can be used in just about anything and can be used to substitute nearly anything in a spell. It is also the most overlooked.
I hope you don’t mind me asking, but can you tell me some specific uses/your favorite uses for yarn? :3 I’m always looking to expand my knowledge!!
I’m glad you asked and sorry for the delay, I’m only on here intermittently.
Some sample uses for yarn in spells.
1) Bindings.
Okay so this is an obvious one because yarn is basically a string, tying stuff up is easy. But I find that it’s good to make more elaborate ones too with crocheting or knitting, because you can make a more elaborate “pattern”.
2) Protection.
Making small items (see 3) as well) and charging them with protective spells, filling them with herbs and/or crystals, is a good way to make an anchor for a protection spell. I have a small, crocheted bear that’s a protective amulet.
In fact
3) Satchel/amulets/bracelets/necklaces
are so easy to make from yarn and takes less gear than say sewing.
As someone who sews too, by hand and machine, you need less stuff to start and less space to crochet or knit a bag or satchel. Bracelets and cords for amulets/necklaces are also easy to make in yarn.
4) Spell items.
Sometimes it can be hard, even impossible to get an item, so why not make one out of yarn.
Spell calls for a rose or other flower, but that specific one isn’t in season or it’s late winter and nothing is blooming? Make one.
5) Bags.
Not spells as such, but I love to make bags from both crystals and cards from yarn. I prefer to crochet them as it makes for a sturdier and stiffer result than knitting.
On the whole I find working intent into something when you have to work on it for a period of time, from maybe half an hour for a small item to hours, days even months for bigger ones, is easier exactly because you spend so much time on it. And it makes for more “effective” end result.
Thank you SO MUCH for this! As you can see, I also do not frequent this blog very much either klghsdg. <33
Pigs To The Slaughter
This isn't necessarily a death spell, rather a spell to curse police officers. You may be able to do this to a specific officer or just a general curse for any you may encounter.
You'll need
A small black sachet
A tumbled tigers eye
One tumbled obsidian
One tumbled amethyst.
A small portion of water charged by the full moon
A piece of oak bark
Dragons Blood incense
A piece of bone (from a chicken leg is fine, as long as it's bone)
Red and blue paper and a pen
The Instructions
First you will want to open a holy space, cast a circle and cleanse the space. Remember to ground and center yourself before proceeding. This will bring up a lot of negative emotions so be prepared when you do this. Burn your incense.
Lay out the ingredients in front of you. Grab the amethyst and hold it in your hands, focus on charging it with protection. Pour into it your fiercest emotions of protection. Lay it down and grab the obsidian. Charge that one with cleansing and feelings of calmness, this stone will drink up the negativity around you. Focus it into the stone and move on with the next one. The tigers eye should be charged with feelings of intense focus, should you ever need it it will aid you. Go ahead and drop the stones into the bag now.
Hold and charge the bone with anger, a pointed anger for the police. Utter these words, "Pigs and stones won't break my bones, but my words will break yours" and (safely) break the bone in two. This is why it's best to use a thinner bone like a chicken's leg or wishbone.
Place this all in the sachet.
On the piece of oak you'll want to take chips off of it and slip it in there too.
Next you'll want to draw a sigil with your pen and paper. This one, to he precise:
It's for protection and a ward. It also directs the energy towards anyone you look at with a badge on.
Close up your satchet and thank any spirits, deities, or other entities you may have asked for help from during this rite. Keep this somewhere on your person if you think you may encounter police or just in general.
Stay safe and blessed be

What is a sigil?
An “Affirmation doodle”
A symbol which has been assigned an intent and outputs energy on the programmed frequency.
How do I make a sigil?
There are countless ways- The following is My method of sigil crafting.
Start with an affirmation:
“I radiate the light”
I assign each important word a symbol. Literally, anything that reminds me of said word.
From there, I combine the individual symbols to create the sigil- Sometimes I go through several versions before finding one I am happy with.
After the sigil is created, it needs charged.

Making Your Own Witch’s Broom 🧹🌿
Making your own witch’s broom is a time-honored tradition and will add your own, personal energy and intentions into the broom. The main purpose of a witch’s broom is for cleansing your space, clearing away negative energy, and adding a dash of luck to your sacred space or altar space. Many people choose to use smaller brooms designated just to cleansing their altars, while larger brooms can be used to clean bigger spaces, such as your entire home. As you can see below, mine is about the same height as me, just a bit over 5ft. Your broom can be however tall you’d like though, so don’t feel pressure to make a larger one! If you’d prefer to make a small one for your altar, that’s great too!
If you want to make a large one like mine, start by picking a hefty stick that‘s roughly 5ft in length and 1 inch in diameter. The choice of wood is completely up to you, so pick a wood that best suits you. For mine, I chose birch.
For the broom head, you can basically pick anything you’d like for this part. Some people use wheat, thick grass, herbs, or twigs and hay. For mine, I chose twigs since witch’s broom are not meant to actually touch the floor (they rather sweep out the negative energies from a space, so they are kept about an inch or two off the floor.)
Ideally, you want to gather a bunch of twigs or hay that’s about 15 to 18 inches in length. You also want a 3 inch wide bundle distributed evenly around the broom stick. Position the bundle about 5 inches up from the bottom of the broom stick.
Wind leather, thin rope, or twine tightly around the bundle, but be careful not to pull too tightly or else you could snap your twigs if using a twig bundles. As you wind, you could use little dabs of glue as you go for extra hold.
Some witches add crystals to the bind when winding the twine or leather around the broom head bundle for added strength and protection. Depending on your needs and intentions, you have a lot of options! I personally chose a smokey quartz crystal to aid in keeping away negative energies when cleansing my space.
Cleansing with a Witch’s Broom 🧹
To attune your broom to your energy, intentions, and welcome it into your sacred space, conduct your first room cleansing with the broom.
Weather permitting, open your windows.
Stand in the middle of the room holding the broom vertically in both hands.
Breathe in, deep, and calmly.
Begin by symbolically sweeping your space, but not actually touching the floor (hold the broom about an inch above the floor- you’re sweeping away negativity, not actual dirt.)
Sweep the room in a counterclockwise spiral to banish the negativity. Imagine the energy of the room being stirred up like real dust, and imagine the dust changing from murky and dirty to clean and bright.
Continue to sweep the room in a counterclockwise spiral until you end up at the rooms doorway/threshold.
End by banishing the negativity out from your space by saying “Bright and Strong flows the energy through my home. This room is purified. So mote it be.”
