Skye didn’t know if it’d be wise to show that she somehow feels sad for the other. It was as if the other person was the kind of person who’d find feeling sad for her offensive. She just seemed... independent, to say the least. “If that one thing is the only thing that keeps you going, you have to hold on to it dearly,” the agent stated, looking at the flower that bloomed right by the other’s feet. “We are going back. And once we get back to our own universe, it’d be as if we never left. But you know what, seeing as if you’re into plants, why don’t you try to help me with a somewhat failed garden I’ve been trying to set up for a while already? Or at least, give me tips on how to maybe grow beautiful and healthy ones?”

  SURE:   there’s a problem here.   a problem science should be able to answer,    but as aiko stands there ( aka.   daydreaming of forumla )  she can’t seem to draw a conclusion.      pink lips pull to a pout, as her eyebrows furrow a frown   / it’s a second or ( rare ) annoyance that soon shifted back to her happy go lucky exterior.           ‘  hey !     i saw a boba store that totally wasn’t there yesterday – so who knows when it’s going to go.   conclusion:   let’s go grab some ! ‘ 

Skye was trying to figure out how to connect to Jemma. The lady basically has an answer to anything that piques her interest; and this, this very situation that she is in, will probably do that. “This is insane,” she muttered under her breath, as her patience start to wear off. However, a cheerful tone definitely got her attention - though somewhat divided. “a boba store?” She repeated. “There is a boba store?”

“There you go,” Skye pointed out, seeing the other smile. “Small steps are better than zero steps,” she said as she looked at the space in front of them. Do you have a lot to lose? The question resounded in her head in a sad way. “I don’t have a lot to lose, quantity-wise. But... they are what’s left of me. They are the closest to a family I can have. Have you tried searching if you have anyone from your universe here?”

“I’ve just had plenty of time to think about it, and I’ve decided that I’m going to try my hardest to get through this, but in a way that if - god forbid - anything happens to me, I at least had fun in the end.” He shrugged his shoulders. “I’m from Ohio, what about you?” He said quickly with a grin, knowing that surely in this new world filled with mixed up universes she was probably after a different answer.

Skye smiled warmly at the guy’s answer. “Hey,” she raised a brow at the other, “we’re going to try our hardest to get through this. I’m positive we just need to figure out the root, then have the right people who can figure everything out with us.” The brunette rolled her eyes playfully at the other’s action then shook her head. “I’m from Zephyr One,” she answered back, grinning. Then turned around to look at the place. “The Headquarters is in this place. But, this is not it. This is.. a different New York.”

“I felt like this wouldn’t happen, but here we are,” Skye whispered then shrugged, as she heard the other’s words. She definitely understands where the lady was coming from, except that she’s positive there’s a way out. They just gotta work on figuring it out. Skye gathered the rocks in front of her then started moving them around using the vibrations. Feeling the vibrations of the ground underneath her somehow calmed her down. “One thing I’ve learned from being an agent is that there will always be a way out,” she said, though with a sad smile. “We all can’t just give up, can we? Unless, we don’t have anything left to go back to. I don’t know. Family. Loved ones. Relationships. Friends. You name it.”

“It’s amazing how out of all those I’ve interacted since we were thrown here, you’ve been the... calmest,” she said with a laugh. “Most of them couldn’t even crack a joke anymore, nor do they accept jokes.” Skye then raised her brow once more, “where were you from?”

“Wait!” Miles called out, running only slightly to catch up with the person walking in front of him. He was just sure that he knew this person from somewhere, he was just struggling to figure it out. “I know you, I know I know you, I just…” He shook his head. “I’m just not sure of anything right now.”

Skye raised a brow as she was called by someone. She turned around then examined the boy’s features. “You do?” She asked back then laughed, “I haven’t been sure of anything lately, but right now I am sure of one thing. I am hungry,” she groaned. “Aren’t you hungry, kid?”

Skye stood in the middle, looking for people who may be familiar to her. She was slightly taken aback, however, by an unfamiliar voice. She turned with a sigh. “Tell me about it,” she responded with a somewhat hushed tone. “It’s crazy how things are pretty fucked up as of the moment. Anyway, are you hurt?”

Skye sighed as she totally understood what the other woman wanted to say, or well, at least what she was feeling. The SHIELD agent sat on the ground, though still a bit away from the other, then kept silent for a while. “Well, I know it’s not going to be much of a help, but... as soon as we know where to start and figure out what to do soon, we won’t be staying here for too long.” Her own words sounded comforting to her, but truth be told, she’s not as positive as she appears. “Is there anything I can probably help you with?”

“You don’t have to worry,” Skye shrugged, then looked at the figure in front of her. “It’s just the ground shaking, not me moving.” Skye frowned at the seemingly cranky woman. “The weather’s nice. Why’re you a bit... cranky?”
