“Today is the 10 year anniversary of Dying Is Your Latest Fashion. I am extremely humbled by the impact this record has had and by it’s staying power. I’m honored to have been part of it. Escape The Fate is a lot of things to a lot of people, but I respect the entire legacy of the name regardless of who was part of it at any given moment. This album certainly is a gigantic part of that legacy. Thank you to @epitaphrecords for taking a chance on us. Thank you to all the friends and family who supported us back then, whether it was friends letting some of us crash on their couches or my parents making food for the entire band and funding our first t shirts or driving us to our shows. “Today is a special day for 5 people, 10 years ago I didn’t realize we would’ve created an album that inspired others across the world. the sound of this album came by accident. A genre was created on accident, and it all came from none of us agreeing on what style of music the band should be. So finally we threw our hands up and said fuck it put all our favorite styles together on the album. You had a punk song and a pop song next to a metal core song. And some how that was okay. looking back I am honored to say that a master piece was created. some of your favorite artist listened to this album and was inspired by it. To this day I still get chills reminiscing on the songs. what a trip. Do what you love and never give in to the pressures of the world. your dream is at your finger tips. You Just gotta wake up first.”
